📣At guard... from Cincinnati... The newest Saturday Hoops Cheerful Giver... #2 Miles "Deuce" McBride! 📣 @deucemcb11

It was an All-Star level weekend at our Winton Hills Location this past Saturday! We were honored to welcome Miles "Deuce" McBride to not only speak to our #Hardworkers but also give us a look into his newest book, Deuce: The Champion of Friendship. His message on the importance of values focused on teamwork and leadership resonated incredibly well with our group and was right in line with our 4 themes. Deuce highlighted that "It's better to be a really good person to others than just be a really good basketball player". 🏀

Thanks to Deuce, not only did everyone leave with signed pictures, but every young person will get a copy of his book! We can't begin to explain how grateful we are for this visit and Deuce's support of Saturday Hoops.

His book will also be available in all of our reading rooms, so be sure to join us at any 3 of our 3 locations! taken in Winton Hills Recreation Center by @saturdayhoops

Week 3 of Saturday Hoops is in the books and it was truly a great one! 📚

We had guest stars ✨ and even new stations this past week as our young participants lived out our core values of being Hard Workers, Cheerful Givers, Overcomers, and Good Stewards!

Our Lincoln location was joined by University of Cincinnati's Women's Lacrosse Team and Men's Basketball! The Bearcats showed our kids how to get after it and have a day! We also had our familiar friend Penny the Dog with us! It's always a blast when you stop by and pay our young people a visit. @pennyapproved513 . ( @gobearcatsmbb & @gobearcatslax )

Winton Hills saw a new station with Flag Football being played outside! Our young people showed some skills that we might be seeing on Sundays in the near future.

To bring us home, our Roll Hill site that's powered by the amazing group that is Brothas Inc. is growing by the week! If you haven't gotten to join them at the new location then definitely mark it on your calendar because it's a phenomenal site! @brothas_inc

We can't wait to see our young people and volunteers again this upcoming Saturday!

Week 2 was even better than the first!

We've got some real chess masters in the making across our 3 locations, Basketball is seeing some of the best players the city has to offer, the Arts and Crafts room has a few hidden Basquiats, and our Reading room is flying through the pages!

None of this is possible without the generosity from our Cheerful Giving volunteers. Thank you to everyone who came out to give your time back to the young people of Cincinnati!

We can't wait to see you this Saturday at one of our 3 locations! don't forget to resister online at Saturdayhoops.org by @saturdayhoops
