One of the biggest barriers young athletes face is balancing academics and sport. The introduction of Khelo India Feeder Schools and Khelo India Utkrishta Vidyalayas is an important step towards integrating sports into mainstream education. Young athletes should never have to choose between their classroom and their sporting dreams.

HISTORY MADE!!!
1ST WORLD JUNIOR CHAMPION FROM INDIA 🇮🇳

The world will see what you produced on the day. You know I don’t say it often, but it was good! You finally put it all together when it mattered the most 😊
But the real fight was won before you stepped on court. The work you’ve put in made the difference. All the hammering and making fun to get your brain cells working, finally paid off. Thank God for that 😂 the body stayed healthy enough for long enough. A lot to be thankful for.
You’ve made yourself proud and done something special for Indian squash. The best thing is there’s hope of so much more to come. Let this be another milestone on the journey to something much much bigger.
But for now, enjoy yourself. Well done @anahatsingh13 ❤️❤️❤️

One of these is heartbreak. The other is the best I have ever felt.
Look closer. Can you tell which?
The tears are the win. Commonwealth Games 2022, India's first individual squash medal.
The medal is the loss. Asian Games 2014, a final I had by the throat and let slip.
From the outside, joy and heartbreak look the same. Because they come from the same place. The same years. The same love for the thing. Separated by a margin barely there.
Watching Argentina claw back to beat Egypt last night took me straight back to both.
Sport does not manufacture drama. It strips everything away until only the truth is left.

🇮🇳 Longevity. Consistency. Greatness.

Few athletes have represented India at the Asian Games as many times as these legends:

Joshna Chinappa – 7 appearances*
Saurav Ghosal – 6 appearances
Achanta Kamal – 5 appearances
Leander Paes – 5 appearances
P.T. Usha – 4 appearances

These icons have done it time and again, leaving an unforgettable mark on Indian sport.

SPECIAL DAY TODAY!!!

I have never been in India during elections. I have always been playing a squash tournament in some corner of the globe. But today, I voted for the first time in my life! To be honest, it felt good to execute my Constitutional Right and be part of the process that shapes my India :)

What happens when technology removes the distance between amateur and professional sport?

World Premier Squash is attempting exactly that - using AI to track, measure and rank players anywhere in the world, in real time - and it starts next month.

The premise is simple: A global leaderboard / Shared metrics / and moments that don’t go unseen.

It’s a competition where you can go up against the pros, and for the winners, there’s a potentially huge prize up for grabs!

This could be something entirely different.
