Some lessons are best learnt from those who have walked the path before us.

Somaiya Sports Academy, Somaiya Vidyavihar University, was pleased to welcome Saurav Ghosal, former Indian squash champion and World No. 10, for an inspiring interaction with our squash athletes.

Saurav shared valuable insights that went beyond the technical aspects of the sport – from mental preparation and handling pressure to staying focused on the process and making the most of every opportunity. He spoke about the privilege of representing India and the importance of appreciating the journey of pursuing a sport you love and building a career around it.

Saurav also appreciated the sporting ecosystem at Somaiya. He reflected on the significance of Somaiya Vidyavihar University hosting the 2026 FISU World University Championship Squash, allowing university athletes to compete on an international platform.

A meaningful interaction that left our athletes with valuable lessons both on and off the court.

Play the game. Embrace the opportunity. Enjoy the journey.
