💔HAIL MARY💔 🤍KODA #A5801070: 1 year old, female Siberian Husky, 55 pounds, OWNER SURRENDER 9-15. Almost every dog was all smiles at the adoption event today… except for Koda. She trembled in the corner she has called home for over a month. But today she finally got the courage to trust. To take a chance and allow herself to be vulnerable. @lancaster.volunteer.jackie was able to build trust with Koda and finally get her to come out of her kennel! And what she discovered was that life can still be good, people can still be kind… she just needs time. Koda is facing euthanasia simply because she is scared. When all she wants to feel safe! Isn’t that what we all want? Outside of the noisy kennel Koda absolutely came alive. She wanted cuddles and to belong, she SMILED for the first time! How incredible it was to be a small part of that…. Still trusting people with her whole heart. We don't know for how long Gabriela has been suffering or when she last felt truly safe and loved. But despite everything, she hasn't lost her sweetness. And most heartbreaking of all, she hasn't lost her trust in people. She rolls onto her back for belly rubs. She looks into your eyes with the gentlest expression. She just wants to play, be loved, and belong to someone. Her little body tells a story of suffering, and her medical records describe a skin condition that needs continued care. But Gabriela is NOT her medical records. She is so much more than what you see. She is pure love.
