💔Pups waiting…

“But I want a puppy!” …WE GOT PUPPIES
“But I was a special breed”… these are all very special
“But I don’t want to to have any trauma”…looks like these pups are doing just fine!

Enough with the excuses…if you want to buy Gucci dogs that’s on you but totally not necessary when we have SO many interiors at Lancaster shelter.

All these babes are just waiting to be chosen by their loving and force family.

PSA pups get bigger, they get into trouble, they make messes… they need love and training. If you cannot provide those things, please keep scrolling…

💔HAIL MARY💔

🤍KODA #A5801070: 1 year old, female Siberian Husky, 55 pounds, OWNER SURRENDER 9-15.

Almost every dog was all smiles at the adoption event today… except for Koda. She trembled in the corner she has called home for over a month.

But today she finally got the courage to trust. To take a chance and allow herself to be vulnerable. @lancaster.volunteer.jackie was able to build trust with Koda and finally get her to come out of her kennel!

And what she discovered was that life can still be good, people can still be kind… she just needs time. Koda is facing euthanasia simply because she is scared. When all she wants to feel safe! Isn’t that what we all want?

Outside of the noisy kennel Koda absolutely came alive. She wanted cuddles and to belong, she SMILED for the first time! How incredible it was to be a small part of that…. We can’t let her lose her life now

Simply put, good dogs are dying at the South LA shelter. The shelter is over capacity which means dogs are landing on the euth list to free up kennel space. This also means that dogs displaying kennel stress (such as fear, anxiety, or stress) are particularly in danger and that makes every owner surrender even more heart breaking.

This is BAILEY, newly surrendered because her owner could no longer care for her. Understandably, Bailey is confused about suddenly losing her home and family. She now lives in a concrete cage, one of too many shelter dogs trying to cope and survive the shelter environment. According to her previous family, Bailey is house broken, friendly with people, gentle and respectful with children and other dogs, and has no behavior problems, She’s new to SLA but has joined playgroup twice - sticking close to handlers and keeping to herself. She’s a hefty Husky gal at 93 lbs but is so incredibly sweet and gentle. Let’s get this good girl out of her! She’s at the South LA shelter. (NOTE: There are currently two Huskies named Bailey at South LA).

HOW is this absolute unicorn Husky still here and now cleared for euthanasia? This is his last chance to make it out with breath in his lungs. 💔

He will make you laugh, smile, and make your heart come alive. Not to mention he’s ridiculously handsome! He doesn’t deserve to lose his life at the county shelter

Please help share him

🆘🆘Chucho needs an exit plan before 4:30 pm today 10/15🆘🆘 Rescue only

💔 Chucho kept escaping from his yard. Maybe he was looking for something he couldn’t find at home. 😔

He was reported as a stray multiple times. Each time, he was just a dog wandering the streets, with no one there to keep him safe.

His owner said he kept escaping from the yard, and she could no longer keep him safely confined.

So she surrendered him. 💔

Imagine having a home, an owner, and a place you thought you belonged to… only to lose it all.

Chucho didn’t know that every time he escaped, he was getting closer to losing his home forever.

He didn’t know that one day, instead of being brought back home, he would be left behind.

He was just a dog who needed a safe place to live. Now he doesn’t even have a home to escape from. 💔🐾

Poor Chucho. You deserved a safer home, not to lose the only one you knew. 😔

🚨 HAIL MARY – 72-hour notification 🚨

Jamie #A5798070 ❤️

Jamie is a 4Y Spayed Female Shepherd/Aussie mix

She’s affectionate with her handlers, enjoys exploring the yard, greets other dogs appropriately, and is non-reactive. The behavior team found her to be behaviorally OK for public adoption and recommended her for a home with calm dogs. She’s a medium-energy girl who simply needs someone willing to continue building her confidence.

She has already been given another chance by being transferred to Santa Clarita ACC. Now she needs someone to give her a chance and a home.

Please don’t let Jamie’s story end here.

How many times does Yippee have to start over?

He’s been in the system since he was just a puppy. Rescued from Baldwin Park ACC. Yippee’s already been let down by two previous fosters who promised to keep him safe but backed out last minute! He’s been through so much, and now he’s about to lose another place where he finally felt safe and loved for months.

His current foster family’s circumstances have changed, and they can no longer care for him.

Without a new foster, Yippee will have to go into boarding, something Project BP Rescue needs help with financially.

We urgently need a committed foster who can keep him safe until adoption, or even better, a forever family.

If you can give Yippee a safe place to stay until adoption or interested in adopting him, please TEXT “ YIPPEE “ to +1 (818) 397-0339

If you’re unable to foster but would still like to help with Yippee’s care, please consider making a donation. Every dollar helps the rescue provide for him while we continue searching for a safe and loving home.

Note “ YIPPEE “

He’s dog-friendly, playful, and incredibly loving once he learns to trust you. Yippee just needs someone patient enough to give him that chance.
