@ginastarbuck you are just absolute magic and I’m so lucky to learn from you during these annual reunions 🪄 only a few days back in LALALALALA and everything has just flew by so far and it’s strange to feel at home and home sick at the same time but there are a few new and old faces that definitely make it feel more like how I remembered certain good days feeling when I was a teenager. It’s so beautiful to come back to people even after so long and have things to simultaneously miss no matter where you are. I forget the amount of pockets of home that resurface around me and the privilege it is to have so many people I can pick up where we left off with even once a year. Gina’s one of those people who has inspired me since she babysat me as a child and it’s an honor to have relationships from near and far continue to morph into new chapters and characters. It’s definitely a healthy yet impending reminder of change.

Brief family reunions and temporary farewells in Italy thanks to @dap_festival 🍝🐠🦀🪼🦦🐋 piece by @nnamdi.nwagwu

Sun, sea, stray cat walks, slush puppies, prosciutto and melone, 1am tech, disproportionate sculptures, lemon estathe, crashouts and zoomies, a few tears as per usual, the fan in the corner of the room working overtime, tower of Pisa from the backseat window, epidemic of divas, TSA worker with a fascination towards my Camp Snap 8, sometimes early, sometimes late, a warm yellow-tinted swim in July waters, the chasing of shade, hand held glasses, bread, bread, more bread, safety in a room full of old quirky men, a ball of spinach and cold beef stew, drowsy eyed whispers, and a fullness of all the things but leaving room for some more. taken in Pietrasanta, Italy by @saveakagan

And this past weekend was the premiere of ‘Riff’ for @nationaleoperaballet Junior Company X @ishdancecollective NextSteps🎷🎺🥁

Huge thank you to @marcoish1 and @ernstmeisner for this exciting opportunity to collaborate with such vibrant and eccentric performers in the beautiful studios of NO&B. To my dancers, you all were so fearless, free, and fun to work alongside. Throughout all the ups, downs, and in betweens, your lightness, flexibility, and ability to adapt to every circumstance was such a blessing as a creator. You took on challenges with grit, grace, and a tinge of humor, and made me feel like the space was a playground to explore and learn from you as people and performers. I am grateful for each of your roles and the commitment you expressed in the studio, onstage, and outside. Thank you for cheering each other on and supporting one another in the space. I leave with many warm memories, learning experiences, and a newfound fire. And it’s only the beginning. Thank you for everything.

‘I’m Gonna Get Me Mine’ for @thestuttgartballet ❤️‍🔥🎪

I’ve had the most frenetic and insane two weeks consisting of two whirlwinds of premieres and have just gotten a chance to sit down and attempt to unpack these meaningful events in the midst of everything. I’m already missing my temporary home in Stuttgart and coming down from such a cathartic experience with the artists who created such a safe and whimsical space filled with trust, the technical crew with their vast imaginations and endless support, the artistic team with their guidance and support, my closest loved ones right by my side throughout this process, and the undoubtedly special audience with their unmatched energy. This journey was filled with firsts and milestones and was one of those moments I will keep near and dear to my heart as a creator. To @sonieta53 thank you for your encouragement, kindness, care, and compassion for each and every one of us, it is such a gift that doesn’t go unnoticed! To my dancers, I am just so in awe of your growth, storytelling, generosity as performers, and dedication as a team. You went absolutely wild, devoured, and left nothing behind and I couldn’t be more grateful. And to my best friends @ivan_tocchetti and @alipieri26 who traveled 11 hours each way on a bus just to see the show, I feel so beyond lucky to have you by my side 🥹 and huge thank you to everyone who tuned into the livestream.
