[BELATED] BIRTHDAY REFLECTIONS 🎂

I used to think joy had to be earned. That I had to hustle for my worth... Somewhere between the grind and the glow-up, I paused.

I RECLAIMED who I was before the world got a hold of me 😬

AND I was overjoyed to find HER waiting for me... Just with better boundaries, deeper roots, and wilder dreams. Enjoying belly laughs, deep breaths, and butterfly signs from the universe 🦋 #serendipity

Here’s to living on purpose, loving without armor, and letting it be easy...

Just wrapped my third Alvin Ailey Extension Workshop Showcase and it was absolutely amazing! This was my first time performing contemporary dance—specifically, Graham technique—so beautifully choreographed by the incredible @sierra.christine 🦹🏾‍♂️ a true warrior woman.

This piece was a celebration of the Divine Feminine—her magic, her love, and her unrelenting ferocity. I’m beyond grateful for the amazing women I had the privilege to share the stage with.

A huge thank you to Alvin Ailey Extension for creating this transformative space and to my incredible tribe who showed up to support me with so much love: @notjustacolor @pbquan @tgesq95 @megankief @meganhannum @hornsbytan @cashreid1 @melissabubble @mbpate @quiet_storm_jojo21 ❤️ You all mean the world to me! by @saveme511

Spring Workshop 💐💃🏿

I'm forever grateful to @alvinailey for creating a space that preserves youth and joy! And a special thank you to @jeffreybynum for creating movement that expresses and gives so much joy.

I signed up for this workshop in 2023 as the first act of intention in the overarching mission to create joy. Well, this year, I'm committed to rehabilitating my inner artist and I figured this was still a good place to start! I was right.

Last year, I was deeply supported by the amazing "Hot Gurlz" as I struggled to balance obligations and get moving, again. And this year, I was surrounded by true talents and generous spirits... Looking forward to what next year brings 😊 taken in Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater by @saveme511
