With guns, troops, and support from Presiddent Kagame of Rwanda, the M23 couldn't have killed, raped or displaced as many Congolese as they have. Similarly, without guns, funds, training, and support from the West, including the UK, US, Canada, and EU countries, President Kagame couldn't have continued to aid and abate so much violence in Congo. by @savethecongo

"I write a lot about the West's complicity to Congolese suffering. On reflection, i now feel I should have been writing about Congoleae complicity -- from both micro level (when we as individual at home and in the diasporas turn a blind eye or actively back a fraudulent electoral victory because it benefits "us") and macro level (when Felix Tshisekedi, like Joseph Kabila before him, promotes Bosco Ntaganda's deputy or army officers or politicians we all know are Paul Kagame's products) or tells a French TV that he doesn't care about the creation of an Int'l Criminal Tribunal for the DRC to end the impunity enabling Paul Kagame's violence and everything that accompanies it" -- @VavaTampa taken in Democratic Republic of the Congo by @savethecongo
