📢 URGENT ACTION NEEDED: Stand with the DRC! 🇨🇩

The crisis in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is escalating, and we cannot stay silent. Thousands have died, over 1.5 million people are displaced, and human rights violations are on the rise due to the violence orchestrated by the M23 armed group, backed by the Rwandan government.

The Congolese people are suffering, and the international community, including the UK, must act NOW!

Here’s how YOU can help:

1️⃣ Lobby your MP to advocate for human rights, justice, and peace in the DRC:
- Email using our pre-drafted template (link in bio)
- Call to chase your email and demand action
- Set up a meeting or attend their MP surgeries

2️⃣ Email the Foreign Office using the template in our bio.

3️⃣ Head to our Linktree to take action, learn more, and donate to the Goma Appeal.

4️⃣ Boycott new tech: Opt for second-hand or refurbished iPhones and Androids, and prioritise repairing, reusing, and protecting your devices.

5️⃣ Join actions in solidarity with the Democratic Republic of Congo.

📣 We, @congoleseactionyouthplatform demand that;

Apple must be responsible and ethical in the way it extracts our resources, the coltan, the gold, and in how it treats the people who labour for them.

We demand *fair wages* for the men, women and children who work tirelessly. It is unacceptable that those who toil in the mines—who risk their health, their lives—are not given the pay they deserve. Every worker deserves to be treated with respect and dignity.

We demand an *end to child exploitation.*
It breaks my heart to know that innocent children are being forced to work in dangerous conditions when they should be in school, playing, growing up with joy and hope. We say: No more! Every child has the right to a safe and bright future.

We demand an *end to rape, war, and violence as tools of exploitation.* For too long, our bodies have been violated, our families torn apart, and our lands turned into battlegrounds for profit. Violence must never be the price we pay for progress.

We demand *transparency in the supply chain.*
We deserve to know where our resources go, who profits, and who suffers. Let there be no more secrecy, no more hiding behind corporations. We want the truth, and we will settle for nothing less.

We demand an *end to the pollution of our rivers and land.* Some of our babies are born with deformities. Our crops die. Our water is poisoned. All for the sake of profit. Apple, you can do better. And you must do better. The world watches, and the children of Congo will not be silent.

Our message is clear. To Apple, and to all those in power: We are not asking for charity. We are demanding justice. We are calling for fairness.

Congo's people, especially the women and children, deserve to thrive, not suffer at the hands of greed.
Apple has the power to change, to do better. And we will hold them accountable until they do.
