❄️💙january wrap-up💙❄️

I got a huge head start on my 2025 reading goal this month and read some amazing books (and some average ones)!

My top 3 are all ones I will be thinking about for such a long time. Looking forward to going back to my roots in February and reading some fun thrillers and some romances for Valentine’s Day! by @savs.shelf

You, Again by Kate Goldbeck🍁💋👨‍🍳

This book follows Ari and Josh who just can’t seem to avoid running into each other at different points in their life. At their first encounter, they instantly become enemies, but slowly warm-up to each other and become friends and talk to each other about their own dating lives. In this reversed Harry Meets Sally retelling, the only thing keeping Ari and Josh from dating, are themselves.

I truly fell head over heels for these characters. Their banter was funny and witty, and all of the side characters were just as likable and important to the story. I also thought that their careers as a chef and a comedian were fun to follow and see come to fruition! I flew through this book in a singular day, but I think it will stick with me for a long time. I highly recommend for an easy, yet impactful fall romance!

I have read each and every Riley Sager book and none of them have been rated below a 4 star. This was no exception for me! What I love about Riley Sager is that the atmosphere and writing easily pull you in and make you want to keep reading. I was so immersed in the story I read it in just 2 days (most of it in 1 sitting!).

This book follows Ethan Marsh, whose friend disappeared from a tent in his backyard while they were having a sleepover. He doesn’t remember a thing, but now that he is down on his luck and moved back into his childhood home, the past is back to haunt him.

4.5 Stars, highly recommend!🍃⛺️📚☀️🌳 by @savs.shelf

The Reappearance of Rachel Price ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was a huge fan of Holly Jackson’s A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder series, and I was looking forward to reading one of her YA mystery thriller/standalones. TRORP follows Bel as she is filming for the Netflix documentary following her mom’s disappearance, until she actually shows back up.

This book honestly had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. The writing was fast paced and I liked the cast of characters we got, including the film crew for the documentary that were always around. The only things I didn’t love were the length of it (why is the audiobook over 16 hours), and the ending did kind of put me through whiplash and I felt like it explained more than told.

Overall, I gave this book 4 stars and I would recommend! I have not been reading young adult nearly as often lately, but sometimes books like this are just so fun and great palette cleansers. by @savs.shelf

this book was actually kind of a flop for me. coho’s writing is obviously so addicting and I flew through this in a day, but the romance did not convince me enough to root for their rekindling in this second chance romance. now time for a thriller!

🔪THE MAIDENS🔪

This novel, by the same author as The Silent Patient, follows Mariana as she goes to Cambridge to be with her niece Zoe after her friend is brutally murdered. They are both convinced this is the doing of a Greek Tragedy professor at the school. Is there something more? Are they ritualistic?

I really enjoyed this! The plot was very captivating and kept me intrigued the whole time. Much like The Silent Patient, the beginning was a lot of build-up and character building, but all of that information becomes important later on! The ending was a little odd so it was the only reason I didn’t give it higher than a 4 star.
