Ole Nanner is on the board just in time before the season ends here in Alabama.

She headed out around 5 AM while her dad, Buddy Stafford, stayed back to watch the grandkids. The weather wasn’t in her favor, but she trusted it would slack up—and that the birds would step out to dry off.

And they did.

At 7:05, this Alabama bird was flopping!

Not just any tom—this guy was double bearded (10” and 8”) with 1 1/8” spurs, one growing backwards.
Pretty special bird for not only Sav, but he is the biggest bird taken off of our camp in lower Alabama.

Congratulations Savannah on your biggest bird to date!! by @savvv_lea

The killa herself doing what she does best 💥🐊

Babygirl marked another FIRST off of her list of things to harvest in her lifetime. What a blessing it is to have had this opportunity. Not many 6-year-olds get to say they’ve killed a gator before. We are so thankful, and especially thankful my dad & sister were willing to give up a bonus tag to make it happen for her.

She has been BEGGING to go gator hunting, and man, did she get to experience the full experience. We headed out the driveway at 5:00pm yesterday and didn’t pull back in the driveway till 7:00am. TIRED and GRUMPY, but she made it happen anyways. As always, I am so proud of her!!💥🐊
