When you’re looking for a bodybuilding coach, don’t just look at the overall titles and class wins. Look at the progression.

Look for a coach who can take someone from being an average competitor and help them become something they never thought possible—not just someone who consistently posts athletes who were already elite before they ever started working together. The true value of coaching is what changes under that coach’s guidance.

One of the things I’m most proud of isn’t just the trophies. It’s watching people grow, improve, and reach levels they never had before. Seeing the confidence they gain along the way is what makes coaching so rewarding.

These are just a few of the athletes I’ve had the privilege of coaching. Every one of them started from a different place, and together we elevated their physiques and their careers.

* Richard Jowers – Classic Physique: Overall Champion & Top 8 at his first national show.
* Christina Scott – Wellness: Multiple Overall Champion & Top 3 National Finisher.
* IFBB Pro Patrick Martin – Men’s Physique: 2019 NPC Nationals Overall Champion.
* Kelli Savoie – Bikini: Overall Champion & First Callout (Top 8) at her first national show.
* IFBB Pro Anwar Sanders – Men’s Physique: First-time competitor to IFBB Pro in just 7 months, earning an Overall title along the way.

That’s success across four different divisions.

There are plenty more athletes I’m proud to have worked with, and I’m sure I’m leaving a few out, but these were the first that came to mind.

First Men’s Physique show🥈🇦🇺

12 weeks. 3 months of locking in.

I’ve always wanted to do a bodybuilding show. Not because I expected to win, but because I wanted to experience the discipline it takes to prepare for something like this. Having a date to work towards and knowing I was going to step on stage gave me something to chase every single day.

Looking back, there was so much that went into getting there that people don’t really see. Weighing every meal, meal prepping, tracking protein and carbs, cardio, training, water, sodium, sleep, check-ins, and just doing the same things over and over again every single day.

And honestly, when I started, I barely knew anything about posing. It was completely new to me. Learning how to stand, present my physique, transition and actually look comfortable on stage was a whole different challenge on its own.

It definitely wasn’t easy. There were days I was tired, hungry, busy, or just didn’t feel like doing it. But that’s probably one of the biggest things this prep taught me. Sometimes you just have to get up, show up and get it done.

Stepping on stage for the first time and coming away with 2nd place in Men’s Physique First Timer 🥈 and 2nd place in Men’s Physique Rookie 🥈 made those 12 weeks worth it.

Huge thank you to my coach @savoie_ifbbpro all the way from Louisiana 🇺🇸 for guiding me through the whole prep, keeping me accountable and helping me get ready for my first show.

Thank you @icnaustralia for putting on an awesome event and giving me the chance to experience competing for the first time.

And most importantly, thank You, Jesus. 🙏🏽
Thank You for the strength, health and opportunity to do this.

For now, we build. 💪🏽

Not the placing we wanted today, but I’m proud of the look we brought to the stage and what we were able to maximize in just 6 short weeks of working together again.

Proud of you, brother. Now it’s time to put our heads down, pack on some serious muscle, and come back undeniable next time out.

Anwar Sanders placed 13th out of 30 incredible pros in a lineup stacked with numerous Olympians this past weekend at the Houston Pro.

Originally, we planned on hitting a later show, but decided to jump in early and I’m damn proud of the look we brought.

We completely blew our last package together out of the water, and this is only the beginning for you.

Truly blessed to do what I love and call it “work.”

When I was 21, my dad looked at me and said, “Son, I don’t know what you want to do with your life. All you want to do is work out.” 😂😂 Fast forward 12 years…

That thing I “just wanted to do” turned into a successful online coaching business that I built from the ground up. Something I’m extremely proud of.

But what I’m most proud of is what’s come with it. I’ve had the opportunity to help hundreds of people transform not only their bodies, but their mindset, confidence, and day-to-day habits.

I’m also grateful for mentors like @_cutz_ who paved the way for coaches like myself and showed what it looks like to operate at a high level. He set the standard and the expectations high, and that’s something I’ve always respected and tried to carry into my own business. The GOAT! 🐐

It’s crazy sometimes to look back and see how far this has come. What started as a passion for training turned into a career and a way for me to make a positive impact on other people’s lives.

They always say, “If you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life.”

I understand that saying a whole lot more now.
Forever grateful. And we’re just getting started. 💪🏽

2026 Louisiana Open Championships MEN’S PHYSIQUE OVERALL CHAMPION 🏆

This one means a little more. Worth the read!

Jeramy Lyles came to me just 5 weeks out from his first competition. Conditioning wasn’t where we wanted it, the timeline was tight, but we both accepted the challenge and got to work.

When Jeramy first drove up to Shreveport to pose and train with me, he shared his story. 4 years clean after battling addiction and spending time in jail, he completely turned his life around. Today, he travels Louisiana sharing that story and helping others through recovery. Hearing what he had overcome hit especially close to home because of the struggles my own brother went through.

From the beginning, I truly felt God placed Jeramy in my life for a reason. He later told me one of the reasons he chose me as his coach was because of my faith. That meant more to me than he knows.

During this prep, Jeramy also found out his mom has terminal cancer. He had every reason to walk away from this show, but instead he used it as motivation to make his mom proud.

And he did exactly that.

At 48 years old, in his FIRST competition, Jeramy swept the show—True Novice, Novice, Louisiana Open, Masters 40+, Open and the OVERALL. 🏆

I know you put a huge smile on your mom’s face, brother.

This one was bigger than bodybuilding.

So damn proud of you, Jeramy. We’re just getting started!
