A huge shout out to two of JATA’s favourite funny people, CHRISTOPHER SAWCHYN and LUCY WINKLE!

Last week, Jana Abrams had the pleasure of catching both performers at Sandra Battaglini’s Stand Up Special ‘If You Know You Know’ show in Toronto.

For Christopher, it marked an exciting milestone: his very first stand-up comedy performance! And judging by the audience response, it certainly won’t be his last!

Meanwhile, Lucy brought the laughs with a selection of her comedy greatest hits, reminding everyone why she’s one of the sharpest and most original comedic voices around!

But these two aren’t slowing down anytime soon…

Christopher is already preparing for his next performance at THE ONE SHOW on July 16, while also co-founding the newly created Queer Clowning Collective, a company formed alongside recent Seneca graduates. The collective will present a special performance for LGBTQ+ cancer patients at Toronto General Hospital’s annual Pride event.

Lucy’s next stop is Hamilton, where she’ll be performing as part of a comedy showcase during the Hamilton Fringe Festival on July 17, bringing her unique perspective to an evening loosely themed “Everything Is Fine”which sounds like the perfect setup for a comedian.

@sawchync and @lucywinkle we are incredibly proud of both of you and can’t wait to see what comes next!!!
