coming up to my 3rd year of working professionally as a humanitarian at human appeal and this isn’t just a job for me. When I accepted this job that I endlessly prayed for - I had a mission and one mission. To push that change for East Africa.

This is a life mission i’m on. This isn’t an aesthetic job this is real life. Honestly alhamdulilah, I had no idea that I would grow this far and it’s important to remind yourself of what you’ve achieved and thinking of all the projects we are yet to achieve is so exciting to think about.

Dream is to consistently be on the ground and serve these families as a duty as a muslimah. I can’t thank you guys enough for supporting and showing up because it’s a community I’m trying to build and from all the events and countless things we’ve achieved it’s insane to say out loud.

In this job, you can get lost and not renew your intentions. I remind myself every morning, الحمدلله for the position i’m in. Allah has chosen for me to be put in this position.

If you have a dream go for it, don’t listen to comments of what others say and for them to tell you that you can’t achieve the impossible because you can.

‘Your life is not something that someone gives you, but something you choose yourself. You are the one who decides how you live’.

you only live once, so go and do good in the world. by @saxbrinn
