The last photos before the storm winds most likely destroy all my flowers. I put a lot of love into the house and flowers this year but more is needed. It’s a battle. I guess that’s what life is though. You give as much love as you can and see where you end up. by @saxmatic

32 years this last August you’ve been gone. A loss felt more keenly this year because I am the last.
I sat in the quiet house with a glass of Cabernet last night, listening with the wind, wondering if you and my mother found each other. I’d like to think that you did.
I got up for work this morning got in the car and realized I’d forgotten my phone. I unlocked the front door, and walked into my living room. I was moving fast because i was later than usual, but I was stopped cold.
I smelt perfume…. Not a newer perfume…. Something classic.
I felt like someone had been there. Someone was there to see me, and my mother was never one for perfume..
Perhaps you came to see me on your birthday. I’ll never know, well, most likely not in this life anyway.

I’m still trying to find places to put the stuff I inherited from my mother. One of the hardest things to find a place for was my mother’s bookcase that’s 57 inches long.
The house is small so there’s only two walls that it fit on so I beasted it upstairs (along with my childhood dresser) to try it in my bedroom. It took all day moving furniture, cleaning, then figuring out what to put on the bookshelves and where…but I think it works though.
I also now gained shelves to to put stuff on, like my mother‘s things..her backgammon and Scrabble boards…which we would literally spend six hours at a time on, as well as pictures of my grandmother and sister, which makes the room feel warmer. Next, I’ll hang out art work.
Now, I think I’m going to get a pizza and sit on my ass. by @saxmatic

I’ve been blessed for the last month to spend a lot of time in two Porsches. On the ride home in my Subaru, it took roughly 5 minutes before I was cut off for the first time.
It made me instantly realize how defensive I have to drive in that thing. I have to pay attention to everything around me 100% of the time. People straight up treat you like a bitch in it because they know it’s slow. I have to drive it like the slow unathletic, great shooter plays defense…. Just getting people’s way.
This is a great car, and in the winter it literally makes people look like idiots because it’s so good, bur manI miss my Mustang sometimes.

I have to apologize for being behind on texts and messages and I haven’t been at gigs for the past week I’m largely through it now, but I’ve been sick for six days
This happens every couple of years. it’s brought on by working too many hours and with my sinuses being aggravated by playing saxophone. It then works to my lungs and then goes to my stomach and results in just a lot of pain. No nausea really. Just pain. All accompanied with a fever. It’s just one of those things in my body does every couple of years.
I’m still not 100% but I’m back up and running. I’ll be coughing for the next week as my lungs work everything out but i’m good.
