Empowering young people who stutter through creative programs & community. 💙 ENROLL TODAY ⬇️✨
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
#ThrowbackThursday 💜🗓️ Mark your calendars for October 20th, as we celebrate not just any birthday, but SAY’s 25th anniversary! This milestone reflects a quarter-century of empowering young people who stutter and building a supportive community where their voices can shine. On that very first Saturday back in 2001, we gathered on West 54th Street in New York City with a remarkable group of courageous teenagers, each sharing stories, challenges, and their triumphs. Little did we know that this would be the start of an incredible journey, including hundreds of programs and performances, and 20 years of Camp SAY.

To celebrate, we have a host of amazing surprises planned throughout the year. Keep an eye on our socials! In just a few days, we’ll share a special post on Tuesday, October 20th, that you won’t want to miss! We’re excited to reveal what we have in store and invite each of you to celebrate this incredible milestone with us.

Stay tuned, and let’s make this 25th anniversary the best yet! by @sayorg

🎬 Mitch Guerra made history as the first person who stutters to compete on Survivor, finishing in the Top 5 while boldly representing the stuttering community on national television. We feel so lucky to call him both a hero and a friend, and to see his story light the way for the next generation of kids who stutter. 💙 This summer, he visited Camp SAY and shared with us his inspiring story about growing up as a person who stutters and what Camp SAY and its impact mean to him.

If you’re new here, let us reintroduce ourselves. We’re SAY: The Stuttering Association for the Young. 👋
We are a nonprofit offering life-changing programs for young people who stutter, ages 5-18. We believe that every young person who stutters has a voice that matters and deserves to be heard. Through summer camp, regional day camps, speech therapy, and creative arts programs, SAY builds a community of acceptance, friendship, and encouragement where kids and teens who stutter can develop the confidence and communication skills they need to thrive.
Our free creative programs are offered in New York City, D.C., and virtually — connecting the global stuttering community. Our creative programs are completely free, and camp and speech therapy are pay-what-you-can, because cost should never be a barrier to belonging.
Enrollment is now open for our fall programs! Want to join us this fall? 🔗 Visit say.org/programs or find a program for your family using the link in bio. ✨ by @sayorg
