Our bestest boy, Trooper, crossed over to Doggie Heaven today. Chandler’s 12th birthday gift, no dog has been happier or more loyal than this one. I am absolutely blown away by this girl.
At just 16 years old, she was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes — a life-changing moment at such a critical age. What followed hasn’t been easy. Learning to live with an (currently) incurable, lifelong disease takes strength most people never have to find.
And she’s done it with grit, resilience, and determination that honestly leaves me in awe. 💙
Did you know that people with T1D make around 200 extra decisions every single day just to stay alive? That’s the kind of strength she carries daily — quietly, consistently, and courageously.
So to see her standing here, proudly representing and advocating for all those still fighting and hoping for a cure, is something incredibly special.
Katherine — you are tough as nails, you are unstoppable, and you are truly inspiring.

We’re celebrating an incredible milestone thanks to YOU! Since our partnership with @compassion began in 2011, we have seen over 25,000 children sponsored at ‘The Thorn’.

Your heart to take your faith beyond the walls of the theater and stretch to sacrifice, helping bring resources to children in need is inspiring! My prayer at Christmas for each of us is to know that we are truly loved, we are not alone, that God will continue to pursue us. So many things to be grateful for. Always holding a few prayers close. Feeling the fullness of family, work that has purpose, friends that are incredibly dear. May we all know Jesus just a little more in this coming year and find ways to be more like Him. To the LOVE of my life! Happy Anniversary to the man I would walk 500 miles, and 500 more just to be with! Adventures, obstacles, ups and downs, we’ve done it all together, every step.
