I am absolutely blown away by this girl.
At just 16 years old, she was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes — a life-changing moment at such a critical age. What followed hasn’t been easy. Learning to live with an (currently) incurable, lifelong disease takes strength most people never have to find.
And she’s done it with grit, resilience, and determination that honestly leaves me in awe. 💙
Did you know that people with T1D make around 200 extra decisions every single day just to stay alive? That’s the kind of strength she carries daily — quietly, consistently, and courageously.
So to see her standing here, proudly representing and advocating for all those still fighting and hoping for a cure, is something incredibly special.
Katherine — you are tough as nails, you are unstoppable, and you are truly inspiring.
We are so very proud of you!!! 👏🏼💙 by @johnbolin

We’re celebrating an incredible milestone thanks to YOU! Since our partnership with @compassion began in 2011, we have seen over 25,000 children sponsored at ‘The Thorn’.

Your heart to take your faith beyond the walls of the theater and stretch to sacrifice, helping bring resources to children in need is inspiring! Thank you for helping make this possible—we can’t wait to see what the rest of this year and beyond has in store as we continue to offer the opportunity to sponsor a child at each of our performances.

28 years ago, she said yes. Every year is better than the one before. She is beautiful, wise, confident, adventurous, focused, compassionate and full of life. Leader & CEO, mother of 5, certified life coach, loyal friend, and passionate Christ-follower. She brings out the best in everyone around her and gives them wings to live their dreams. There is no one else I’d rather live this adventure with! Cheers to another 28! by @johnbolin

Most of you probably don't know that I wrote a novel a few years ago. It's a technothriller about a virus that threatens the world (yes, seriously). But there's something I've only told a few people — I had originally written The Eden Project under contract for a major publisher that then asked for a 20K advance back before it was ever published. 😩 I was so discouraged I almost gave up on writing. But years later, I self-published it and it's sold more than all of my other books, combined. An article linked in bio tells the story.

Now, I'm finally working on my next novel and I can't wait to share it with you soon! My lesson learned? Don't wait for someone else's permission if you have something you know you're supposed to do. Take a step, stay focused, and find a path. 👊

You can find this book, The Eden Project, on Amazon. But I need to warn you, it's a fast-moving thriller, not a typical Christian fiction book. From the back cover: "When a mysterious virus threatens all of humanity, an ex-army ranger, and a brilliant anthropologist team up in an epic struggle for survival..." by @johnbolin

Fond memories of the Big Horn and this exquisite brown. Thanks to @ricklychristian for making this trip happen and @refuge_foundation for their important, restorative work with leaders. I think our Colorado water is calling for me soon. 😉 taken in Bighorn River by @johnbolin
