-so my sweet amazing friend @scar_n_lee rang me around 4 weeks ago and said ‘can you come to Cornwall end of July to host the wellness tent together at @uksurfskateexpo ?’The tent is 8 x 10 m long and it has a roof.. rest needs to be organized.Produced a few backdrops, packed my instruments.. 15kg overweight as usual ✈️ And here we are, first time in newquay, Cornwall - maybe the prettiest place in England I’ve ever been.I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to bring a bit of the @floatingyou spirit to this beautiful event @uksurfskateexpo Thank you @scar_n_lee for really seeing this concept and all your support 🤍#wellnesstent #uksurfandskateexpo #floatingyou #floatingyouwellness by @scar_n_lee

Long winded way of announcing my business 😂Guys if you couldn’t sit through the yapping, I’m launching a retreats business @sama_scarlett_ - centred around balance 🫶The first retreat is going to from the 21st - 23rd August in Cornwall (20 minutes away from Newquay). Just thought I’d share as it’s International Yoga Day…It’s been a journey with yoga, I’ve always been a bit obsessed with the asana (pose) part of the practice, what you can see in this video. In lockdown, I used to take over the living room at my parents for at least an hour every morning to practice my headstands and intense yoga flows normally called something like fire building flow or something like that.I’ve practiced on and off for years, but never dove too deeply into the yoga philosophy… until I travelled to Sri Lanka this year.I can’t lie it was a pretty tough start to the year (as much fun as my social media looked like I was having) I was struggling with the guilt of a breakup, I had just lost one of my most exciting freelance clients and then I didn’t get a job that I was thought I was a dead cert for, so going into my trip I was a bit lost.The first thing I did in Sri Lanka was stay with the wonderful Riany on a Floating You retreat (gifted for a work project).I was there to write a surf article, so hadn’t really thought too much about the yoga and healing part of the retreat, but I was quickly m obsessed. In just a week I felt more connected to myself and clear about my goals than I had ever been, and the stillness of the intentional yoga from the retreat forced me to actually take a look at myself, how I was living and my priorities.You may have noticed if you’ve been following me for a bit, but my life tends to run at 1 million miles an hour, so the peace I was able to find in myself as I deepened my yoga practice was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced.When my flight home was cancelled in March, I wound up doing my 200 hour yoga teacher training, which in itself was one of the most transformative experiences I’ve ever had. I didn’t go into this experience wanting to teach, but as in everything that I do, I’m so so passionate about sharing what I know with people around me that teaching is now something I’m obsessed with. Being able to share the feeling of connecting to yourself is honestly the best feeling!The start of this year has been a much needed reminder to trust the process 🫶Lockdown Scar doing really fast yoga, by @scar_n_lee

My audition tape to be an international surfer this international surfing day… I would highly recommend to everyone to uproot your corporate office life and move to Cornwall, it’s been a whirlwind but I’m pretty obsessed with my life and what’s coming next!Thanks to all of the people I’ve met surfing, the places I’ve been, what incredibly fantastic opportunities I’ve been lucky enough to have 🫶🌊🏄‍♀️ by @scar_n_lee
