my art is an extension of who i am as a person. the ocean is the only body of water who mirrors with abyssal accuracy how my spirit experiences the multitudes of life.

and love—the language that travels across time, space & distance. dissolving the barriers of separation. we are always connected by the invisible thread weaving all life together, living or non-living. the oceanic waters teach us how to merge through difference. become one without losing our individual core frequencies. the whole comprises of multiple universes choosing connection over alienation.

may we all become brave lovers fiercely loving each other across borders. by @scentdheart

emerging on the other side of a massive breakthrough that found me through the most devastating end to a grief cycle i wasn’t prepared for. that took years to gestate and changed the configuration of my perception of reality overnight.

@rosaphx and i collaborated on this creative project which is so dear to me. my very own academic debut — which feels funny to admit since i am so anti-intellectual / institutional hierarchy. but the way Rosa approached it, felt so so loving, sincere and respectful.

i gave this interview early 2025 and so much has changed ever since (myself included) that holding the physical copy and reading the words of my former self has me really emotional. i would not be here if it weren’t for their survival.

i met Rosa when i was working at @p_n_c_a as a Communications Assistant. she was my supervisor. it’s so incredibly profound to see how our friendship has grown over the years and how it led to this creative collaboration. thank you always for your prayers, for your distant reiki, for your cross-continental love and for believing in my story. love you ❤️

this 450 pages long book consists of 35 different artistic voices & visions across cultures, ethnicities and creative disciplines. i love that i get to be a part of it. by @scentdheart

ocean is ancestral to mountain. a reminder that time changes you and the new form inherits ecosystems of purpose. it is necessary to change in order to sustain life. to preserve love.

Nothing has changed yet everything has shifted. Into sacred landing that only you and I can enter. As I change and you re-member, distance becomes a threshold, an in-between binding us together. A kind of separation that has brought us closer than ever before. Do you feel it, too? The longing that has now become a part of us — ever-present as God herself.

Our meeting place lives somewhere across the horizon. Where land leans into water, the sky aches for the ocean it has been in quiet communion with this whole time. How can you long for something that already resides within you? Perhaps distance is an illusion that keeps the ache alive.

By admitting to this lack, I give myself permission to long for you.

What does it mean to love beyond borders? To dream of a world that’s borderless? How can we counter the distance between us that’s been enforced by empire? Lead by example?

My longing is not a wait for climax, but loving that stretches across time and space. Desire necessitates absence, a tender missing. The build-up is real. Volcanic tremors rehearsing for an eruption that will someday rise and refuse to be repressed. This is the devotion of a Saturnian heart that has long persevered. by @scentdheart

honored to share this spread with you from @suboartmagazine’s November ‘25 print edition. this is my first time being represented alongside such a diverse range of artists from 20 different countries across the world. ✨🌹

i was told there were 400+ applicants (wild!). i feel an abundance of hope rise within me as this body of work that was (re)born out of the ashes of heartache, separation and queer longing receives so much love & recognition.
