Teams are still hard at work across North America supporting FIFA but that isn't stopping us from supporting our other clients. Teams were on site this week for the Amazon Web Services Summit in Washington DC, while others are currently getting ready for 4th of July celebrations across the United States at some of your favorite amusement parks! by @scentworksk9

ScentWorks K9 was proud to assist with safety and security measures at last night International Soccer Match in Maryland. We provided some great K9 Teams and everyone did great, especially the dogs despite the warm temperatures. Even the co-owners were able to get some leash time and assist to make sure everyone received the rest they needed after working so hard. Great job!!!

ScentWorks K9 is starting up it's 2024 Scent Detection Training on 01/06/2024 with an information session about the class and what to expect. Classes will begin the following week, on weeknights at locations across South NJ. Handlers will have the option to certify in a variety of odors, but primarily in Narcotics, Explosives, and/or Firearms. That said we would love if you could share this post so that we can find those interested in this profession.

FAQ:
Who is ScentWorks K9, Do I need experience, need to be in Law Enforcement, etc?

No, ScentWorks K9 is a private sector security company that provides working dogs to a variety of clients from commercial to governmental. Our handlers are Security Guards by definition and Licensure. While that experience is helpful / useful, it is not required.

Does ScentWorks provide the dog?

No, you will need to provide your own basic obedience trained dog that you feel may be a good fit for Scent Detection. We will evaluate the dog to see if it would be a good fit for Scent Detection. We don't breed or sell dogs but we can provide names of Vedors/Rescues we have worked with in the past.

What's the cost?

The information session is free, but there is a cost associated with the classes and certification. The cost depends on the specialty you choose and will be discussed at the session and individually (Discounts for LE, First Responders, etc).
