it truly wasn’t about me! thank you Jesus for loyally using me to share your good news. what a blessing to my soul, what a privilege it was to serve alongside these amazing people.

“Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones you have crushed rejoice. Hide your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquity. Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me. Then I will teach transgressors your ways, so that sinners will turn back to you.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭51‬

12 years ago, I moved to Dallas from Kansas City to be closer to late grandmother who was sick. 5 year old Caleb wasn’t happy at all. It was hard for me to watch the person who had showed me Jesus’ love the best hurting. Not to mention just starting kindergarten and leaving behind many childhood friends. Little did I know that by the time I’d be graduating High School here in Texas, I would be surrounded by friends and family that have loved and supported me so well.

The community that God has blessed me with has been unique and special to say the least. To everyone who has befriended, impacted, guided, and loved me: sincerely, thank you so much, you’ve meant the world to me.

I have constantly seen the Lord at work through my story. If my grandma had not been diagnosed with cancer, it’s an understatement to say that I would not be where I am today. I would not have these lifetime friendships, and I would not be close to my Heavenly Father.

Almost every time, something awful has to happen so that the Lord can use it for His good. But I am grateful for the way He works, because it produces faith in Him.

“We know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28

“You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.”
‭‭John‬ ‭13‬:‭7‬ ‭

Thank you Jesus for the trials, the blessings, and the time in between.
