COMING SOON: WOW NATURE Crafts Council Nederland brengt met WOW NATURE de relatie tussen het ambachtelijke maken en de natuur tot leven, terwijl het tegelijkertijd de vraag oproept: wat kunnen wij eigenlijk nog als natuurlijk beschouwen? De vormgeving, die in handen is van Scheltens & Abbenes, versterkt deze boodschap. Ze staan bekend om hun zorgvuldig gecomponeerde stillevens waarin alledaagse objecten veranderen in bijna abstracte beelden. WOW NATURE neemt je mee in een artificieel landschap, samengesteld met ambachtelijk werk van natuurlijke materialen. Wat vertrouwd lijkt, krijgt hier een andere betekenis. Exhibition: October 10, 2026 - March 14, 2027 Stedelijk Museum Schiedam (NL) Food is more than eating. It carries memory and comfort, shapes rituals, and tells stories of migration, class, struggle, and care. In ‘Broodnodig’, Stedelijk Museum Schiedam explores the many ways food connects us to land, labour, rituals, and memory. Across the themes of Land, Kitchen and Table, the exhibition brings together artists from different generations and backgrounds to explore food as a reflection of power, migration, care and cultural identity. [Event] Scheltens & Abbenes and Peter Hebbing / Kite Club / Mr. Goodman: The Kiteman この度POSTでは、オランダを拠点に活動するアーティストデュオ、シュルテンス＆アベネス（Scheltens & Abbene）による作品集『Mr. Goodman: The Kiteman』の刊行を記念したブックサイニングを開催いたします。 【イベント概要】 Scheltens & Abbenes / Mr. Goodman: The Kiteman 会場: POST 〒150-0022 東京都渋谷区恵比寿南2-10-3 会期: 2026年10月7日(水) 時間: 17:00-19:00 ＊予約不要、無料のイベントです。 モーリス・シェルテンズ（Maurice Scheltens）とリースベス・アベネス（Liesbeth Abbenes）は、アムステルダムを拠点とする写真家デュオ。身の回りのものを緻密に配置し、立体を平面へと転換しながら、写真がもつイリュージョンの可能性を探っています。エルメスやイヴ・サンローランなどのブランド、Foam（アムステルダム）をはじめとする文化機関のための撮影を手がけ、ICP Infinity Awardを受賞しています。 今回刊行になった書籍『Mr. Goodman: The Kiteman 』が捉えるのは、イギリス人エンジニアから凧の蒐集家へと転じたマルコム・グッドマン（Malcolm Goodman）のコレクションです。40年以上にわたり、彼は世界各地のカイトを集め、研究し、そしてそれらと共に暮らしました。自宅の1階はかつて私設のカイト美術館として機能していたほどで、シェルテンズ＆アベネスの写真は、精巧なミニチュアからグラフィカルな大判のもの、実用一辺倒の造形まで280点を超えるカイトを紹介するとともに、その膨大なコレクションが埋め尽くす住まいの様子も写し取っています。 本書を企画したのは、クリエイティブディレクターのピーター・ヘビング（Peter Hebbing）、インダストリアルデザイナーのベルチャン・ポット（Bertjan Pot）、そしてシェルテンズ＆アベネスの4人からなるコレクティブ「Kite Club」。共通の関心から始まった彼らの活動は、手作りのカイトをInstagramで共有することを出発点に、現在では展覧会やワークショップ、出版へと広がっています。デザインはMaharamとの協働によるもので、刊行はロッテルダムのKunsthalで開催された同名の展覧会に合わせて行われました。 当日は、展示とサイン会を行います。 お二人が来日しているこの貴重な機会に、ぜひお越しください。 by @scheltensabbenes

That is why we thought of a Japanese kite, featuring Kusama’s likeness, which is so iconic, so one with her work. With this, we can celebrate her in the air. The wind makes her eyes roll. While we were working on this, it was announced that she had passed away. Its readers are hooked, forgetting thickness or slick advertisements and instead letting their imagination be satisfied by minimal nutrients: unfolding and wearing it (yes, you got that right), a few images, plus many, many words.  As we worship BOOKLOOK, in the end each page could be a cover; then you do not turn pages, but covers - ohhhhhh - so much substance to be found! More satisfying, we have discovered in its third and latest issue, SpeesBookLookPak, unfolded, it becomes a pattern for the jacket and trousers of the brand-new Speespak ’26.
