When photography becomes textile.

For the renovation of De Blauwe Salon in Huis ten Bosch Palace, Dutch artist duo Scheltens & Abbenes transformed photographs of personal belongings, historical artefacts and treasured objects of the Royal Family into extraordinary high defenition jacquard-woven wall coverings, realised in collaboration with EE Labels (EE Exclusives).

The result is a monumental still life woven into the walls: a richly layered composition in which personal memories, Dutch history and contemporary art come together in an unexpected way.

Discover how photography moves beyond the image and becomes part of the architecture itself.

Branches gathered from different places become spoons. Each piece follows the branch rather than imposing a fixed form, allowing its curves, textures, and traces of growth to remain visible.
In a world shaped by convenience and uniformity, these forms hold onto difference, carrying something of the tree into a new life.
