The FES is an already established system, and our CEO Tilo tells @weglide in their newest article about the new outer wings: “This new generation features an additional wing rise and significant sweep-back, similar to the latest Maughmer winglets on the Ventus and Arcus. 🇬🇧✈️ The Ventus E Performance has completed its first flight – powerful, efficient, and impressively quiet🎉 In golden autumn weather on November 18th, our first Ventus E with the Performance fuselage took to the skies for its maiden flight and impressed right from the start: a short takeoff run, strong climb, and that gentle electric hum🔋 The high battery capacity not only made all test flights possible, but also allowed for extended demonstration flying over Teck Castle – much to the delight of the spectators, who watched in fascination despite the chilly temperatures🍂 Now, the certification test flights begin so that series production can start as planned in early 2026. 🇬🇧✈️ #FAIFinalSailplaneGrandPrix 🏁🇫🇷 From 24th to 30th of August, all eyes were on St. Auban, France, where the 12th Final Sailplane Grand Prix took place!👀 Congratulations to 🥇Maximilian Seis 🥈Christophe Abadie 🥉Kévin Faur And of course everyone else!🎉 To quote Max, who flew Tilo’s 3V: „I knew it was possible, but in the end it was very marginal and tight so I had also had a bit of luck“🍀 It was an exciting race until the very end and here at Schempp-Hirth, almost our whole company was busy each afternoon watching the races📺🚀 See you for the 13th Final in two years in Vitacura, Chile!🇨🇱 And until then, we’re looking forward to all the Qualifying Grand Prix @fai.sgp.aero 🥰 🇩🇪✈️ #FAIFinalSailplaneGrandPrix 🏁🇫🇷 Vom 24. bis 30.
