Bodybuilding show? Competed it 😻

Two years ago Hayley came to me and said “I want to step on stage. It’s been my dream since I was 16’.. From that day forward, we mapped it out and she committed to making it happen.

Navigating an autoimmune condition, working full time, waking up at 3:45am every single day to get her training and cardio done. Not once did she complain. Not once did she let her circumstances become an excuse. She simply executed, day after day, with full responsibility for her goal.

Yesterday, that dream became reality. She stepped on stage as a true bikini athlete and the transformation she’s built is nothing short of inspiring (hang fire cos that post will be up soon)

Witnessing Hayley on stage and having all her family and her partner there to support her and seeing how proud she felt was one of those moments as a coach that reminds you why you do what you do.

Hayley, you’ve shown everyone what’s possible when you’re so passionate about your future goals.

You’re inspiring. Never change. I love you to bits and I’m so proud to be by your side 💜

Here’s to the next chapter we call ‘LIFE SEASON’ by @schoolofposing_

Carla taking 2nd place in bikini Junior yesterday 🥈🔥

First time stepping on stage and wow hello sass and confidence up there was mesmerizing.

Her structure is absolutely beautiful for Bikini and I know that as we continue to add more muscle tissue in the seasons to come she’s only going to become more and more competitive.

For the rest of this season we have our game plan 🤝 . With her work ethic, consistency and passion for this sport.. I’ve no doubt she’ll deliver 😻

I’m very proud to stand by her side as her coach. At only 23 years old, she has amazing potential. This is just the start of an exciting journey for her.

YOU DONE IT G!!!!! by @schoolofposing_

3rd place yesterday for Angela in Toned Figure 🥉

This is best physique Angela has ever brought to stage.

At the start of this year she competed in Wellness and then we made the decision to transition her back into her original Figure roots only a few weeks ago. This meant she stepped on stage 7 weeks before her original competing date.

This came with a whole new focus and a whole new direction and she rose to the challenge.

- She nailed her recovery phase after wellness
- Set the foundation for prep 2.0
- In just 7 weeks into a prep she brought her sharpest and most conditioned look yet

This physique was built on execution, patience and discipline.

One of the most driven individuals I’ve ever met.

Next stop finals 😀

So proud 💜 by @schoolofposing_

Which transition do you like best?

2 different transitions that can be used to move from front pose into side shot

✨ front shot > t-bar > step into side shot (basic)
Or
✨ front shot > t-bar > glute shot > flow into front (advanced)

Both work beautifully well but I’m always a sucker for a glute shot during a transition! by @schoolofposing_

From nervy to sassyyyyy ✨

Every fundamental of @kam_adamczak_ posing nailed.

Now it’s time to have a little fun with flow ✨

Smashing her prep and her posing and honestly I couldn’t be prouder seeing it all come together

It’s all coming together for @bex_theempowermentpt ✨ by @schoolofposing_

From first timer to an absolute pro poser on that stage @aimee_fitnessx

Aimee started her posing journey a year out from her 1st ever stage debut

Learning the skills early most certainly paid off as it allowed us to tweak her posing over time to showcase her best physique around a previous shoulder injury

This is why posing is so individual to each person 🤩

This was such an incredible posing (& coaching journey) to be a part of. Podium placings and best poser nominations; inspiring confidence.

Can’t wait to see what you bring next time to stage G.

Always proud ✨ by @schoolofposing_

And that’s posing sessions wrapped up for 2024 ✨

Massive thank you to every single one of my girls who have travelled through to the studio to work with me in their competing journeys

To my own coaching clients, thank you for putting your trust in me with every part of your journey

To all the other coaches who have put their trust me in me too with helping their clients present their best on stage

To all the girls who have done 300+ mile round trips to visit me for a session, I am so grateful

Mega thankful for another fully booked busy year

We’re back in the studio on Jan 2nd, ready for the 2025 season to kick off ✨ by @schoolofposing_

Day 12: Have fun and remember this is a hobby ✨

Of course we wanna smash our bodybuilding goals from every angle from conditioning to posing, but remember have fun along the way

Don’t beat yourself up if your feet need a break from the heels in the studio, if you get calf cramp or lower back ache.. it’s not uncommon.. from the amateurs to the pros, we all go through the same motions ✨

If you’ve followed along the way for the last 12 days then thank you and I appreciate you all!

I hope these tips and tricks have helped you get a head start in 2025

Keep your eyes peeled for a crazy new offer coming in 2025, I’m excited to share the news with you all

Happy practicing and Merry Christmas,

Love always,

Day 11: Shoulder Pops

These can be added in a transition point to add some creativity, personality and flair

Key points:
- Pop the shoulder forward, not up, or you’ll cut off your neck
- Only a slight soft pop is needed
- When transitioning at front, pop opposite shoulder to leg

Happy practicing ✨ by @schoolofposing_

Day 10: Core control

This is super important especially in bikini athletes as the judges look for a smaller, tight waist in the criteria

Practicing core control is just as important as your quarter turns

Key Points:
- ribcage pulled down (think of the sneezing)
- belly button into spine
- vacuum work
- core work like crunches / leg raises / ab roll outs
- avoid movements like Russian twists as this can thicken the waist

Stay tuned in how to perform vacuums!

Happy practicing ✨ by @schoolofposing_

Day 9: Arm Flow

The harder you lock out your elbows and wrists, the harder it is to transition from each shot which can make you look stiff and robotic

Try practice flaring your lats without locking out your joints super hard

If you’re someone who relies on locking out elbows to flare your lats when both hands are out side by side, then you may find the power pose, for example, difficult to transition into

Key points:
- flare your lats and sway your arms around by your side, if your lat flare doesn’t budge, you’ve nailed it
- keep elbows/wrists a little softer
- there should be a straight path from shoulder to elbow to wrist without hyperextending

Happy practicing ✨ by @schoolofposing_
