Paleontology Tour Guide, and Paleo Lab/Collections at NHMU. Host of Utah's Dinosaurs Tour at NHMU. Science, nature, sci-fi, history. He/Him. Ops mine.

Hey, everyone!

It’s been a while since I have reminded everyone that my tour, Utah’s Dinosaurs, at the Natural History Museum of Utah, is still going strong! After over 5 years, I still love doing it! This year, I have hit over 200 reviews and rated 5.0 stars.

If you come on a tour with me, I’ll be your Paleontology Guide and tour host, taking you through our gallery, where we’ll talk paleontology, see lots skeletons and fossils, and learn about the stunning array of dinosaur biodiversity in Utah and the North American West!

We will also get to go behind-the-scenes and see the actual Paleontology Lab as well, giving you an up-close and direct look at how the science of paleontology is done. (Yes, you will get to actually enter the lab!)

On the tour, you’ll meet a grand cast of characters from earth’s past; fearsome predators like Tyrannosaurus rex, Allosaurus, and Teratophoneus, and we might just get to see a “raptor” dinosaur; massive long-necks like Barosaurus; horned dinosaurs like Triceratops and its stunning, vibrant “family tree”; and other dinosaurs as well, many of them only found here in Utah.

Together, we will imagine what worlds past might have been like. What did dinosaurs...do? What were they like? What did they look like, what did they eat, how did they raise their young, and how do we even figure things like that out? Take a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life and stimulate your hearts and minds with wonder.

Whether you’re a local, or just visiting, I’d love to take you back in time with me!

The tour is sold through Airbnb, run by myself on staff at NHMU.

I got this wonderful Gamera Gashapon @fanxsaltlake! Looks to be a Vanishing Fist example, from Gamera 3: Revenge of Iris. I love it!

Leave it to the mighty Salt Lake Film Society, at Broadway Centre Cinemas, to help me scratch off a bucket list item; seeing “Alien” in the theater! Recently they showed the Director’s Cut (so yes, we saw THAT scene) to a sold-out house, and I have to once again both thank SLFS for what they do and remind everyone to check them out if you haven’t already! They often have screenings of older films, such as this one, and many independent and hard-to-find films as well. Thanks again for treating us to one of the greatest films ever made!
