If you ever get the chance, sign up for a private tour with @sciencetoastudent at the @nhmu in Salt Lake City. I’ve never met someone with such infectious enthusiasm for paleontology. Utah is one of the best locations in the world for dinosaur fossils!

I was the only one that signed up that day so he spent a lot of time answering my silly questions. And the best part? I had the privilege of going behind the scenes into their dino lab where they are extracting real fossils. Thanks Spencer!!!

~ Devil Reef~

“the low, black reef lay a full mile and a half out from Innsmouth Harbour.”

“Thar’s whar it all begun—that cursed place of all wickedness whar the deep water starts. Gate o’ hell—sheer drop daown to a bottom no saoundin’-line kin tech.”

HP Lovecraft.

Many thanks to @nukeland.city for designing the digital model for the “Deep Ones” and letting me use them in this MOC.
I plan to make 2 more set designs for the “Shadow over Innsmouth” story. Looking for an early 2000’s style on these, so we’ll see how they turn out!
Hope you enjoy this concept, and definitely take a look at @nukeland.city and drop them a follow!

Some among us took to skiing immediately … others did not. But we could all agree that the Utah Museum of Natural History was amazing. Thanks @sciencetoastudent for all the great recommendations!

“At the Mountains of Madness”

This is a far cry from anything I’ve done with lego!
I have recently listened to many of HP Lovecraft’s novel’s and was inspired by one in particular.
At the mountains of madness is an incredible story of exploration and terror!

Here we see how a lego theme might look, thought the realms of Lovecraft are far too dark for lego to venture into.

It’s a bit of a mix between the Arctic and Adventurers themes, with a disturbing twist!

The dark terror held in the pages of HP Lovecraft’s work have inspired generations of stories, films and games.
