People said you can’t grow an Acropora like this. So we did. 🧬🪸

Our 2024 Acropora Kenti Chimeras were previously only available as unique, never-fragmented colonies for €1,000+.

After extensive work on propagation and colony development, we can finally offer them as Chimera Twins:

Grade 1 — €250
Medium color contrast with 2- or 4-way symmetry.

Grade 2 — €350
Very high color contrast with 4- or 6-way symmetry.

Grade 3 — €600
Very limited. These already have several spliced branches developing.

Each Twin is selected and mounted with the future colony structure in mind, allowing it to develop into a symmetrical colony with balanced color patterns.

And for the first time, we can ship internationally. 🌎 The first shipment outside of the EU will go to Switzerland 🇨🇭 we put some special CHimeras aside for you♥️🤍

Sehr limitiert. Diese Tiere haben bereits mehrere gespleißte Äste entwickelt.

Jeder Twin wird mit Blick auf die spätere Koloniestruktur designed damit sich eine symmetrische Kolonie mit ausgewogenen Farbbereichen entwickeln kann.

Born from our 2025 spawning, these unique corals stand out with exceptionally long, flowing polyps — up to 3× longer than their siblings!

MERMAID TWINS
• Grade 1: 1–3 colors (RRP: 70€)
• Grade 2: 2–3 colors, also featuring intensely fluorescent yellow-green polyp rings (RRP 100€)

150 the size in just 6 months. 🤯🪸

Back in Marchl, our Trachyphyllia babies were only around 1-2 mm in diameter. They have increased the area they are covering by about 150!

They are spawned in our facility less than a year ago. These babies grow fast.

🦐 CORAL FOOD RECIPE

~500 g high-grade mixed seafood
(fish, shrimp, mussels, clams & squid)
2 tbsp Zooton
2 tbsp Phyton
2 tbsp Reef Snow
2 tbsp Phos Feed
2 ml Lipo Garlic

Fill up to approx. 1.5 L with seawater and blend thoroughly.

Freeze in ZipLoc bags.

How we feed it:
Cut off a piece according to the size of the tank and coral stock and defrost it in seawater. Blend it once again before feeding.

Growing corals from eggs means we know exactly when their story began. 🌱🪸

Im März waren unsere Trachyphyllia-Babies gerade einmal etwa 1-2 mm groß. Heute nehmen sie das ~150 fache der Fläche ein!

Alle sind bei uns aus eigenen gewachsen! Das Hauptfutter machen wir so:

🦐 FUTTERREZEPT

ca. 500 g hochwertiges gemischte Meeresfrüchte
(Fisch, Garnelen, Muscheln, Venusmuscheln & Tintenfisch)
2 EL Zooton
2 EL Phyton
2 EL Reef Snow
2 EL Phos Feed
2 ml Lipo Garlic

Mit Meerwasser auf ca. 1,5 L auffüllen und gründlich mixen.

In ZipLoc-Beuteln einfrieren.

Anwendung:
Ein Stück entsprechend der Beckengröße und des Korallenbestands abschneiden und in Meerwasser auftauen lassen. Anschließend noch einmal mixen und verfüttern. by @scireef

How do we supply our coral systems? 🪸

We use the Tropic Marin Original Balling A, B & C system for calcium and alkalinity, plus A- Elements & K+ Elements for trace elements.

Because of our extremely high coral consumption, we also use sodium hydroxide (NaOH) to support pH stability during the night. This is a highly caustic chemical and not something we recommend for home aquariums without the appropriate expertise.

For home reef tanks, kalkwasser (limewater) can be a practical alternative for supporting nighttime pH stability. With our consumption, however, the required amount would simply be impractical.

Wie versorgen wir unsere Korallensysteme? 🪸

Für Calcium und Karbonathärte nutzen wir Tropic Marin Original Balling A, B & C, für die Spurenelementversorgung A- Elements & K+ Elements.

Durch unseren extrem hohen Korallenverbrauch setzen wir zusätzlich Natriumhydroxid (NaOH) ein, um den pH-Wert über Nacht zu stabilisieren. Eine stark ätzende Chemikalie, die ohne entsprechendes Fachwissen nicht für das Heimaquarium geeignet ist.

Für Heimaquarien kann Kalkwasser eine praktische Alternative zur Unterstützung des nächtlichen pH-Wertes sein. Bei unserem Verbrauch wäre die benötigte Menge allerdings schlicht zu groß.

We’re growing — and our shipping operation had to grow with us. 🪸📦
With aquarium season picking up across Europe and international exports increasing, we needed a completely new approach to shipping preparation.
So we built new tanks, redesigned our workflow and started preparing for a much higher volume of coral shipments.

Wir wachsen – und unsere Versandlogistik musste mitwachsen. 🪸📦
Mit dem Start der Aquariensaison in Europa und steigenden internationalen Exporten brauchten wir einen komplett neuen Ansatz für die Versandvorbereitung.

Also haben wir neue Becken gebaut, unsere Abläufe neu organisiert und uns auf deutlich mehr Korallenversand vorbereitet.

Feeding time at the Side Reef! 🪸

Our baby Trachyphyllia are surprisingly easy to feed. Here are three foods they love:

🦐 Frozen fish food — something you probably already have for your fish.

🥤 Coral smoothie — the food they're most familiar with, since we feed it to our corals about three times a week.

🌊 Dried filter-feeder food — such as Tropic Marin Jellyfish Food.

LPS pellets and live plankton are also options, but honestly, baby Trachys aren't very fussy. 😄

Feed them well, and they'll reward you with amazing growth!

Fütterungszeit im Side Reef! 🪸

Unsere Baby-Trachyphyllia sind überraschend einfach zu füttern. Hier sind drei Futtersorten, die sie lieben:

🦐 Frostfutter — etwas, das ihr wahrscheinlich sowieso für eure Fische zu Hause habt.

🥤 Coral Smoothie — das Futter, an das sie am meisten gewöhnt sind, da wir unsere Korallen etwa dreimal pro Woche damit füttern.

🌊 Getrocknetes Pulverfutter für Filtrierer — zum Beispiel Tropic Marin Jellyfish Food.

Auch LPS-Pellets und lebendes Plankton sind mögliche Optionen. Aber ehrlich gesagt sind Baby-Trachys überhaupt nicht wählerisch. 😄

Füttert sie gut, und sie werden euch mit erstaunlichem Wachstum belohnen!

🌊 Come take a dive with coral larvae.

All of our corals start their journey with us as eggs. 🥚
After developing into tiny larvae, they settle after about 1–2 weeks — at less than 1 mm in size.

From there, it takes roughly 1–2 years to grow into the corals you see from us today. 🪸

Why grow them this way?
✨ New colours and combinations that don’t exist in nature
💪 More resilient corals, adapted to aquarium life from day one
🌱 Growing corals without removing them from the wild

From an egg… to a coral. 🥚➡️🪸

🌊 Kommt mit auf einen Tauchgang zwischen Korallenlarven.

Alle unsere Korallen beginnen ihre Reise als Ei. 🥚
Aus den Eiern entwickeln sich winzige Larven, die sich nach etwa 1–2 Wochen festsetzen – mit weniger als 1 mm Größe.

Von dort dauert es etwa 1–2 Jahre, bis daraus die Korallen entstehen, die ihr heute bei uns seht. 🪸

Warum dieser Weg?
