Meet our Charlotte Lucas from PRIDE & PREJUDICE

Karen Scobie is an Actor/Singer/Producer/VO Artist and owner/operator of the film company Evelyn Eleven Productions.

She is a graduate of Randolph College for the Performing Arts and a Class 1 Licensed Funeral Director from the BAO & Humber College.

Karen made her writing and producing debut with her short film (which she co-stars in) Good Night, Sleep Tight in 2019. In 2022, she made her directorial debut with a short film she wrote and produced called Bad With Kids.

Selected Theatre credits: (For Wren Theatre: State of Women, Elephant Man & Little Women); Turtleneck; Or Not to Be; Mountaineer; Bazookas.

Selected Film/TV credits: Good Night, Sleep Tight; A Song For Us; Alien House; Witchcraft Wednesday.

Well folks, it’s official

I have graduated from the Humber Polytechnic Funeral Services Education Program - Funeral Director Class 1 (Embalming) With Honours

I have passed my BAO Licensing Exams With Honours

I am a fully licensed Class 1 Funeral Director with a permanent full-time position at Pine Hills.

Thank you to Steven, my family, friends, colleagues, classmates and teachers for helping me get here.

I took a risk, entered an industry I was not very familiar with and invested my time and energy into a new career. I’m looking forward to being able to continue helping families through some of their most difficult days as I continue to grow and become a better director.

I’m very proud of myself and can now introduce myself as “Karen Scobie - Actor/Singer/Funeral Director”. Happy to level up my slashes! by @scobes16
