bb’s first hat trick 🎩🎬

B Side’s all grown up + goin to New York 🌆🥂

the New York City Lift-Off Film Festival 2026, that is.

We’re officially part of the Trendsetter Shorts Programme, which means B Side gets to spend the next month hangin out alongside filmmakers from all over the world while audience votes and jury scores decide who advances to the Network Round Final (aka another opportunity for us to screen at Pinewood Studios in London, UK, where my lifelong fantasy of sipping shaken vespers whilst wandering through the birth-stages of Bond cinema continues to aggressively manifest itself 🍸).

Deeply grateful this film keeps finding people + thrilled it gets another home, another audience, another conversation… in NEW YORK, NEW YORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRK. 🎶

This is me lovingly placing my lil psychological gremlin into the world + asking: if you have a moment, I’d be ridiculously grateful if you watched and maybe even tossed us a vote (link in bio).

Plz also sound off once more for the absolute menace-to-normalcy group of artists who rallied around me and somehow turned this glitter-bomb of a short film into a real thing on real screens with real people watching it. I remain unreasonably delighted about it. 💫

@scobes16 and @lizzie_moffatt backstage at Pride and Prejudice

Two weeks ago yesterday, we opened Pride & Prejudice, and just four short but incredible days later we closed.

This show was a monolithic and one of a kind achievement that I couldn’t be more grateful for having been apart of. From Jesse McQueen and Ferron Delcy’s one of a kind adaptation of Austen’s work, to Wren director Tatum Lee’s exquisite direction, and the endless talents of our impeccable cast and tireless crew; I simply couldn’t have asked for a better and more astounding team. And of course a very special acknowledgment for our own astounding leading lady Lizzie Moffat who held down the house every night and was simply the best Miss Bennet this Mr. Darcy could’ve ever asked for.

Also another special shout out to our choreographer Mari MacDonald, who whipped us all into shape with her exceptional dance skills. My jigging moves will never leave me now.

We were all absolutely floored by the outpouring of love, the reviews, and the pleas from everyone that this show keep going and be re-mounted- and while I can’t confirm, deny, or promise anything… I can say that we are ALL eager to return to these characters and this story very soon. I love Darcy, I love this story, this cast, this team, this family. Wren Theatre will continue to make massive waves and we should all be excited for what’s coming next!

Thanks to everyone who supported and came to see the show!

Happy 250 years of Jane Austen! Glad we got to ring it in with a special one ☺️

P.S. We got that soup 🥣
