OPEN CALL: FRICTION The third chapter of STATES OF CHANGE is here. FRICTION explores the tension that comes with change: the resistance, conflict and opposing forces that emerge when things no longer move in the same direction. Friction can exist between people, ideas, identities, expectations or even within ourselves. It can create discomfort and conflict, but also movement, transformation and something entirely new. We’re inviting artists to explore FRICTION through their own perspectives and artistic practices. All artistic interpretations of the theme are welcome! 📅 Open call until 19 October 2026 🖼️ Exhibition on view throughout November 2026 📍 Scope Gallery @ Maria 01, Helsinki 🎨 Group exhibition | STATES OF CHANGE, Part 3 Apply through the link in our bio! We look forward to seeing your interpretations of FRICTION. . . . . . . #avoinhakutaiteilijoille #taide #helsinkitaide taken in Helsinki by @scope_visual
