CRYSPACE ~ 6th DECEMBER @kwia.berlin

[emo/shoegaze/pop-punk/post-rock/numetal/triphop/ambient]

It’s 2006. You’re slumped on the school bus, hoodie up, bangs obscuring one eye. Your Motorola Razr buzzes with a text from your crush reading “OMG parker just asked me out xD”.

Devastated, you ditch class, wander into the cold blasting Hawthorne Heights through tangled Skullcandys. You wish you could go somewhere warm, dimly lit, with people who truly understand you.

Enter: CRYSPACE - the yearlong lovechild between three friends and emos at heart @arnav.303 @scorp__corp @club.dad who bonded over melancholic frequencies. Now, for the first time, we’re bringing that energy to the sonic safehouse @kwia.berlin, along with special guests @fishfluuu_ and @etrnlw4ke joining for DJ sets and a live performance.

So put on your studded belts, band tees, black nail, and skate on over for a night of communal catharsis T_T

I turned 32 a few weeks ago and celebrated spookily with my wonderful friends who came ready 2 rock and patiently endured my screaming on the mic at karaoke.

Special shoutout to Guy Fieri @club.dad who laboriously concocted the single most impressive 4-tier chocolate cake with swiss buttercream meringue and salted caramel.

Adding more fuel to the fire this Saturday we have @scorp__corp a Berlin-based producer, live act, and DJ ⚡️

With mixed Brazilian and Indian heritage, an upbringing in Hong Kong, and an introduction to electronic music in the UK, Scorp Corp’s sound draws from rich cultural influences.

Long known for his groovy, club-oriented sound, having played at venues like Tresor, Renate, Fitzroy, and 宀 (Mihn) Club, Scorp Corp has recently ventured into more ambient and experimental realms, infusing his performances with rich textures, expansive sound design, and heart-wrenching, nostalgic, and euphoric melodies.

For his upcoming performance at Bodywork, expect an immersive sonic experience that travels between consuming atmospheres, stimulating rhythms, and his trademark spiciness 🖤

Don’t miss out on one of his rare appearances in the HK scene this weekend - 🔗🎟️ IN BIO

First ever live set ~~ this weekend at the Daytimers day party in Berlin 💜

Performing with synths and samplers is something I’ve wanted to do for years. So I’m truly grateful to showcase it on this special occasion among such an exciting lineup of South Asian artists ✨

Come thru @fitzroyclub on Sunday 15th September at 3pm ~ RA ticket link in bio :)

Very pleased to announce that Music for Estranged Speakers just dropped today, with my song ‘Halftime Show’ wedged in the middle of a beautiful compilation of aural experiments 💿

Each of the pieces aim to decouple the stereo field, with speakers treated as separate entities and the sounds hard-panned left and right.

Flick through for a preview, description as well as videos from the exhibition it featured in last week ✨

Grateful to @engineering.reverse for including me in such a cool project :)
