So many gorgeous things on David Levi's stand....hopefully not coming back home!!!

Yesterdays Highgate Brocante was a hit!

Come with me on a visit to this east London house, one time home to @timjohnwhittaker and featured @bibleofbritishtaste

He says, "I have spent most of my adult life fighting developers - their desire to clear and make a clean slate of building plots - and their race for profits. During my 19 years running, The Spitalfields Trust for its trustees, this was a constant threat that we faced. " @spitalfields_trust

Tim couldn't have been better placed to restore this Whitechapel property. It's beautiful. He also has so many lovely things with antiques galore. I particularly love image 2, Tim's sculpture gallery. Images 1 & 4 his sitting room.

Whistle-stop trip to Italy with sister and Daddy! We've done Pompeii, the beach, frescoes, and obligatory hand-bag shopping (75 euros each, bargains!!). Guzzled far too much vino & pizza, I will never be thin! We're all set for the winter ahead.....

Sunday vibes with this exquisite Tuscan farmhouse, which is home to Fiona Corsini di San Giuliano.

Sitting amongst olive groves and orchards, the family resides in what was a group of Renaissance era farm buildings. At the edge of the 15-acre property, there is an occupied 16th century villa.

The decorative elements are created with an artist's eye. Some of the eclectic features include frescoed walls, parquet floors, lamps from flea markets and tapestries.

This house also features in a book called Tuscan Rooms by @antoniomonfreda published by @rizzolibooks

I was a 'pony club troop leader', so these strike a chord!!! 😉
A stable of ponies and yours to buy.
Papier mache and wooden toys on wheels, fun and decorative. Perfect pony for a city dweller, no mucking out!
One wheel is missing.
Great present, circa 1930's DM for more info.

Kick-starting my week with Jasper Conran's beautiful manor house in Dorset. Photographed by @simonuptonphotos for @theworldofinteriors in 2020.
I'm not sure about you, but I became hooked to Jasper's posts in lockdown. He would post videos of his morning walks in the most idyllic garden. Locked up in London, it was a fantasy!
His house dates to the 17th century and is miraculously intact, thanks to tenant farmers who didn't touch a thing.
When I spied these images on Simon's account, I saved them to post, so here they are!
I particularly love the bathroom...and all the pictures....
Country Life at it's very best. 💚

Friends for supper last night, so dug out my favourite Highgate Brocante £5 jugs!! If you fancy a great shop, put 26 September in your diary, Highgate Brocante, Pond Square from 10am.
David's cooking was delicious, salmon in ginger with coconut rice....

I'm a huge fan of longtime Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter and loved his memoir, 'When The Going Was Good: An Editor's Adventures During the Last Golden Age of Magazines'. Best quote "Never have lunch with someone you wouldn't want to have dinner with"....❤️

His one-time flat in the Dakota Building is my idea of paradise. It featured in House & Garden in 1996 as a maximalist country house style space. Antiques galore, aubusson rugs, French flea market finds, and an entire run of bound volumes of Punch from 1841-1939.

The Dakota Building is a massive Gothic mansion block on Central Park West, which was built in the latter part of the 19th century. Such an iconic address.
