Mega City Four have been a favourite band of mine for a long time, but I never gave their final album 'Soulscraper' a fair crack when it came out in 1996. A decade later and prices for vinyl copies went through the roof, so I put off buying one. Then before I knew it, it hardly ever turned up for sale and I assumed I'd missed my chance to get one at a reasonable price. ⁣ Long story short, I got a copy this week (including the free 7") which means I own a copy of every single MC4 album and all bar 2 of the (comparatively easy to obtain) 7"s. ⁣ This is admittedly my least favourite of their albums, but it's grown on me over the years and I'm glad I finally got hold of it on the most cumbersome format available. ⁣ #megacityfour ⁣ by @scott_brassneck

Here's a Murderburgers LP, but probably not a version you've seen before. It's a green vinyl test pressing of the 10 year anniversary edition of 'The 12 Habits of Highly Defective People' album in a yellow sleeve. There is one copy of this in the entire world*⁣ ⁣ Split release between Brassneck and Asian Man. ⁣ ⁣ There are 9 other test pressings for this version of the album, but they're mainly yellow or orange vinyl. ⁣ ⁣ P.S. I just returned home from a few days away and there was a parcel waiting for me.  That parcel included one copy of this.  A recent limited reissue of Iron Chic's debut album from 2010.  That was the year I started Brassneck Records and, as I was taking those first tentative steps into record label status, "Not Like This" was playing constantly.  Until just now, I hadn't played it for maybe a couple of years, but apparently I still remember all the words and at 50 years young, I don't remember much of anything, so great work Iron Chic.  Still one of the best bands to ever do it. by @scott_brassneck

I made a post a few weeks ago about Australian records I'd been listening to recently. One of the bands featured were The Meanies from Melbourne who were one of my favourites in the early to mid 90s.⁣ ⁣ The first Meanies record I bought was the 'Inside' 7" in 1992 and I've been picking up their records ever since. It seems like it’s been forever since we recorded this but we are stoked to FINALLY announce our new LP “Room For One More” coming out May 16th. Pre-orders and our first single and video for the record will be here March 21st. We are super proud of this record and we hope you will dig it. The record was recorded back in June and July of 2024 by @mattdrastic at Drastic Sounds in Nashville.
