I came to Moab to jump off a cliff… but where did I stay? 🏜️

🐋 🎥🍿 I was invited to an advance screening of WHALEFALL, and as a scuba instructor, I knew I had to go into this movie with suspension of disbelief. 🤿😂

Within the first few minutes, my diving brain was already screaming, “Those are terrible diving practices! WHERE’S HIS DIVE COMPUTER?!” 😂

But once I got past that…

The cinematography and sound design are genuinely beautiful.

It’s a high-stakes, sci-fi survival thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat, tapping into some of your deepest fears and phobias 🤢

What surprised me most, though, was the emotional story beneath it all. A story about a father, a son, and family trauma, with an almost mythical ending.

In many ways, the entire movie feels like one big metaphor.

My verdict? I liked it! 👏

And it’s definitely one worth experiencing on the BIG screen.

I don’t want to spend my life saying “one day.”

One day isn’t promised.

So here’s to doing it now. To taking the chance. To making the memory. To saying YES. 🙌

I’m just doing it my way. Not what makes sense to everyone else. Not what people expect of me. Not what society tells me my life should be or what it should look like.

People will judge you regardless. For the things you do. The things you don’t do. The risks you take. The choices you make.

So you might as well build a life that makes YOU happy. A life where you feel comfortable being exactly who you are.

And no, that doesn’t mean every day will be happy, easy, or perfect. Life doesn’t work like that.

But you deserve to pursue the people, places, experiences, and moments that make you feel alive.

It’s your life. If I could give anyone one piece of advice, it would be this: Make sure you’re actually living it the way YOU want to. 🌎 taken in Happy Place by @scott_stevens_

Day 1 of deciding to up root everything and head out on an unplanned adventure to South America for who knows how long 🎢✈️🌍 Life is too short to be unhappy doing things that don’t excite you ❤️ hopefully I don’t run out of money. I have no job now 😬

I set 5 alarms. First one didn’t go off. But I made it to the airport taking off and landing safely!

I met a sweet Uber driver who shared local tips, and arrived at my new home for the next chapter. Had a couple “WTF am I doing?!” moments in a new country, new language, totally solo. But I’m here. I’m doing it.

Groceries are in, heart is settling, and I’m calling it an early night. Mentally & emotionally drained, but proud. Nervous excitement and all… we move 💪🏼🌎✨

Let’s do that damn thing Julie! 🇨🇴💫

I DID IT! I PASSED! I AM OFFICIALLY A PADI GLOBALLY RECOGNIZED SCUBA INSTRUCTOR 🤿🌎⛵️🐙🐡🐳🦑🌅 I’m still here and onto the next course of MSDT (Master Scuba Diver) and get my certifications in several scuba specialties! This journey has been so amazing @utiladivecenter and the people I’ve had the pleasure to meet and work with are absolutely incredible!
