A long overdue post (Mostly for me to look back to 👴)
To appreciate the good times, the rough ones (mostly on the bike trainer), and also thank the inspiring and wonderful people I've got to meet and race by during this @t100triathlon adventure this summer.

Injury free, mechanical free and with fueling that played nice, it was a blast to experience this "half Iron-Man"-like race.

I completed this bad boy in a steady 5h13, which I'm quite happy with considering it was my first "half"/medium distance event.

What a blast that was!
So grateful to have friends that I get to build these memories with.
My last OCR was in 2016.. and 8 years after that @pukkaraces #WorldWarRun, and after moving to Canada, I thought my OCR days were behind for good.

But thanks to @gueshboss for Kickstarting this whole operation, I got to give it an other shot. 🙏

While being heavier, older, definitely rusty and with only 1 fully cooperative hand, it was an absolute treat to run along these guys for their first OCR and share the little dusty slivers of tips and tricks on how to embrace the sport and obstacles.

(Altho that hand didn't get better for it.. who needs ligaments anyway? 😅)

Damn I've missed all of this.
Damn I miss the OCR people I've met along the way.💙
I wish the sport was more popular on this side of the globe too.

Till the next one!

What a weekend that was.
First Triathlon sprint in the bag. 🏊‍♀️🚴‍♂️🏃‍♂️

I Ended up 56/265 and still had plenty in the tank.
Grass-fed, this little cow didn't do too bad I'd say. 🌱💪
I'm quite chuffed really.

My phone pretty much stayed in my pocket so I don't have the cool "bike with race number on the rack", "start line, pre race" of other classic pics, but thanks to @elena.lopg, I still have a few snaps of my old mug at the Oliver @dynamicraceevents event with this wonderful crew, @tesiccat @theresemyl @elena.lopg 💚

This whole shenanigans really got me to enjoy training again, which got really dull and quite uninspired since I left the OCR world back in 2016 or so..

But with the fun back on the table (and a hella lot of super lovely and inspiring people to race along with) I'm really looking forward to swim, bike and run again.

As someone dear to me likes to say.
"Days like these really fill my cup".

10/10 will do it again (as a matter of fact I already signed up for a standard size in September 😉).

Your potato boy went on a ride again.

I guess I'm currently that dude with all the gear and no skill, but I'm definitely learning loads with the @gradient_cycle bunch!

Looking forward to building-up an FTP as fire as the team kit 🔥 taken in Vancouver, British Columbia by @scottbbono

I did a thing. 👷‍♀️

I could pretend I dusted this "fingers in the nose", but despite the fact this is applied basic geometry, well it took me foreverrrrrrrrr.

After several erroneous measurements, me staring at the screw isle in the hardware store way longer that I wish to admit, having mini anxiety attacks at each milestones, chopping 2 fingers with the jigsaw followed by a very sloppy wood stain application and a super fun game of hide & seek to find the wall studs, I managed to hang this stuff and not have it fall on my face right away.

I see this an an absolute win🙌

Garibaldi park is quite the beauty.
We've been incredibly fortunat to get a perfect weather for the trip and it is truly an experience I recommend if you have the opportunity (and equipment)

Easily my best week-end trip in years (If not ever).

My back is sore, my feet are battered, my lips are burned, but I also have a giant smile I can't shake off.
10/10 will do it again.

Note to self : bring even more spare socks. taken in Garibaldi Provincial Park by @scottbbono

As my ankle is still damaged (thanks to @biffoly 😏)
It was a great opportunity to work on more hand walks.

Excuse my camera skill, we are missing the last 3 seconds of walking (my first time!!) but you definetly have an 🔊 hint when I completed it's length 😁

I suppose I'll just have to do it again :) Next step: change and control of directions. 🤗
