Does anyone miss beach season yet? Because I do.

This is my beat Sand. It's in G minor at 140 bpm.

The underlying guitar and synth samples really reminded me of a windy at the beaches of lake Michigan, with the sun shimmering off the water. by @scottblockbeats

Is drill rap dead? Let me know in the comments 👇

I have been asking myself this question for the past year. It seems that the Pop Smoke phenomena has been relegated to a few niche tracks here and there. While there are some UK rappers who still crush it, I wonder about how much that is off the nostalgia of the samples used for the tracks themselves and not the actual drill-style.

It's like rock vs. disco of the 1960's and 70's - people still listen to rock both from that era and modern stuff. Disco, however, died to make room for other genres. Will we see this pattern play out for drill? by @scottblockbeats

POV: You found a fire Christian producer.

This is my beat Help Me. It's in F# Minor and at 154 bpm. It's melancholy and a bit sad. The vocal sample in the hook is a harsh whisper sung desperately as if they are trying to reach out of the song for a helping hand. by @scottblockbeats

I wake up at 5 am to get in the Word, drink coffee, journal, and make beats. These activities help me stay connected to my faith. How do you make time for the Lord, yourself, and what he’s called you to do?

It’s not easy to make time for God or yourself. These are the ways I have found that I can make it happen everyday without fail.
