While the title of the film was a great descriptor for @eli_olson ’s early season of surfing on the North Shore, as a filmer I also felt like I was going full throttle too. Emerging onto the scene was a thing of its own but then to cover swell after swell, event after event, quite the ride. Wouldn’t trade it for the world.

The most challenging thing about the whole experience was figuring out how to piece something together from Eli’s journey since so much went on in such a short time frame. In my editing I wanted to create something that was engaging while bringing you behind the scenes. I’m happy with how it came out but know I can do a lot better.

It was great working with Eli who gave me helpful pointers and feedback ultimately improving my craft. It’s also been cool seeing how good he is at what he does which I feel like goes unnoticed at times. One of my favorite things about working with him tho was seeing how genuine of a person he is, uplifting his community.

Nevertheless, I’m grateful for the experience. I feel like I’ve already improved lots and am excited to only get better at what I do with time, hard work and experience. Thanks to everyone who watched and looking forward to the next projects. by @scottpetersss

Wrapping up summer here at home. Posts can be deceptive. Trust me it’s not all perfect but it’s been nice finding time to have some fun. $When it all comes together. It takes a lot of time to predict and understand waves, drive, hike, rummage, prepare gear, line up angles and perfect the shot. Is all this time and effort worth it? 100 percent. A huge reason I started photographing was because of moments like this. No one around, just you, the ocean, and a dramatic landscape. It makes you realize how beautiful life is and how lucky we are as humans to be able to experience moments like this given the micro fraction of time we have on this earth. by @scottpetersss$
