What really makes a conflict in a script? Question so simple and yet some of the most successful filmmakers tend to sometimes forget about it. Let's focus on the basics, the heart of the script - the idea of the story. A lecture of Jeremy Pikser we've been all waiting for, was the last one during the first session of @scripteast 15th edition. Now's the time to take a breath, gather the thoughts together and rest after this challenging week of meetings, lectures, case studies and of course one to one meetings with our wonderful advisors. The journey doesn't stop here! During the next months, 12 selected #scripts are going to be rewritten and improved. Next stop? @berlinale 2021. #scripwriting #scriptwritingworkshop #scripteast15 #filmworkshop by @scripteast

@thepartyfilmsales salesforce! Meet the another duet of sales agents. On this last day of first @scripteast session Clémence Lavigne and Clémence Michalon presented their story in a case study. The subject? #deuxfilm #twoofusfilm Why the cinema audience needs the marketing code? Why trailers have a structure one must not change? How to pitch your visuals to get the listener emotional? These women know it very well. Thank you for an inside look at the subject. #pitchingworkshop #screenwriting #screenwritingworkshop #film #filmingindustry #filmsalesagent by @scripteast

Every rose has its thorns. With Yves Marmion we focused on thorns 🥀 There are over 30 features in his filmography and Yves decided to share this kind of production stories you won't hear or read in interviews. It takes humility and self-confidence - another priceless experience during this diverse session. @ugcdistribution #scriptwriting #filmworkshop #screenwritingworkshop #filmproducer #setlife #filmsetlife by @scripteast

Manuel Monzon shared with us his experience of producing one of his loudest title. Ups and downs, unexpected twists, compromises and sometimes simple hope it's what can and will happen during all production stages. Being prepared all the time is not always possible. It's a priceless lesson to hear someone who've been there and for that we are really grateful for. @acontrafilms #filmworkshop #screenwriting #screenwritingworkshop #filmfinancingworkshop #TheBookshop. by @scripteast

It is a second time the pandemic is doing anything good to us - it's a second time we had chance to meet David online for a Q&A session. How was is it? That's a secret 😉 All we can say is that you should drop everything and watch David Parfitt newest film #TheFather trailer here: @lionsgateuk. The Father premiered at @sundanceorg this year. #filmproducer #filmworkshop #myweekwithmarilyn #shakspeareinlove #thewingsofdove #screenwriting #script by @scripteast

Scene analysis as a tool for #directors and #screenwriters lecture was presented by Rumle Hammerich a creative director of @nordiskfilm, awarded twice with #emmyaward. Talked us through the labyrinth of threads and character development. ”On each day I try to imagine myself as a character I'm writing” he said. It's an exercise every adept of screenwriting can try, but soon it will be clear it isn't an easy task. Practice, time and imagination is the key to success! #filmworkshop #screenwriting #scriptwriting #characterdevelopment #dialoguewriting #scriptbreakdown by @scripteast

One of our main focus points during the #scripteast workshops is to give our participants the most comprehensive perspective of the possibilities they have. That would be impossible without the sales agents on board. Meet Mathieu Delanuay and Alexandre Moreau from @memento.films. On today's lecture, they shared their thoughts about the acquisition process. #salesagent #filmworkshop #screenwriting #screenwritingworkshop #acusition #festivalprogramming by @scripteast

”Don't show your drama only to your mama!” said our next guest, screen and play writer, Maciej Karpiński during his lecture about the status of screenwriter’s profession.
