HAPPY to share that THE CASE OF E.E., our adaptation of Nobel Prize-winning author Olga Tokarczuk’s novel E.E., has been selected for the MIA Film Co-Production Market in Rome! 🎬

It all started years ago with Paweł Grajnert’s decision to adapt the novel. When Sandra Buchta and I joined him, we began shaping our own cinematic vision of the story.

From @scripteast to Cannes, and now with director Olga Chajdas and @looks.film on board, this project has been quite a journey.

And now, Rome! 🇮🇹

So happy to see our beloved project taking another step towards the screen.

See you at #mia2026 !

SILVER LIONS for IMAGO.
To quote Ela:
„It’s all just an illusion. Yet it vibrates.”

We made a truly FREE and INDEPENDENT FILM which follows no leads, pushes no political agenda, idealizes nobody and nothing, including my own family.

I didnt finish high school, never attended a single writing class, and often didn’t have a place to live.
Imago was my first script, I didn’t know what I was doing. All I knew was: TELL THE TRUTH.

So I did. About the thing I knew best, my past.

Thank you to the incredible, wild, free and the fucking coolest jury for this tremendous honor.

Thank you Ela.

Thank you Wojtek, Romek, Slawek, Badźi, Iwona and everyone else who told Olga and I about Ela. You all wrote this script too.
Thank you @kristi_kane for script doctoring, thank you @applefilmproduction for @scripteast and all the incredible mentors you have provided along the way. Thank you @smolikandrzej for the best musical experience of my life and for understanding the spirit of Ela and the 80s alternative music scene so truly. Thank you @a_m_a_n_i_t_a___ and Blacha for being by my side. Thank you @miloslochman for everything, you well know what I mean.. Thank you Darek, for being so wise and a leader and thank you to the @pisf_pl and @radeksmigulski for supporting this movie and polish cinema 🤍 Thank you cosmos for introducing me to Olga Chajdas and for starting this process of freeing, strength and forgiveness. And for all the lessons I took from this.

Thank you to my team: LBI: @amyjanekawa & @gabriellabwall
🤍🤍🤍
