This last weekend we were lucky enough to share a weekend of riding and hanging out with an amazing crew of top notch bike shops from all over Australia.

The legends at @scvimports (who bring in Surly, Salsa, Panaracer, MKS and many of our other favourite brands) invited us to Canberra for their (semi) annual get together.

We were treated to a fun (and sun) filled day of pedalling led by local riding royalty @steph_skinner and @rohanhunt, fresh off riding the Silk Road Mountain Race.

No downtube storage, no worries. This could be the next best way to carry spares and tools on your bike.

The Hootin Hauler is a modular system to carry whatever you can imagine on your bike from your bottle cage mounts or your bike’s accessory mounts.

Wheels Manufacturing has designed the base plate and a few accessory mounting options, and then they are leaving it up to you to come up with creative ideas to mount and carry whatever you can think of.

Downtube storage has become pretty prevalent on bikes these days. But if your bike predates one or you prefer a quicker grab for spares in the heat of the moment, then the Wheels Manufacturing Hoot’n Hauler could be for you.

Wheels Manufacturing has designed an open-source accessory mount system that will allow you to tailor what and how you carry on your bike.

You purchase the base plate, then Wheels offers free 3d printable files for you to make your own attachments. There are attachments for tire levers, electric inflators, C02 cannisters and tires plugs. Outside of these, you can design attachments to carry anything you can think of; the options are only limited by your imagination!
