From repotting my bonsai on August 12 to today, October 8, she has blessed me with so many beautiful new shoots! 🌱💚 I’m incredibly proud of her growth and how well she’s thriving. Watching her flourish has been such a rewarding experience. With a little love, patience, and the right care, she continues to show me just how resilient she is. What an experience! An evening of wine, whiskey, meeting industry leaders, and learning how to weld!

Let me tell you, welding is definitely harder than it looks! 😂 It takes patience, precision, and a steady hand. And one thing I learned firsthand is that metal stays HOT for a LONG time! 🔥

I love stepping outside my comfort zone, learning new skills, and trying something different. This was such a fun and unique experience, and I can’t wait to go back and try my hand at creating something else!

Who knew wine, whiskey, and welding could make such a great combination? 🥂

Natural Hair and clogging pipes will be a thing of the past with the new Tub Shroom. 🌸 What a beautiful, FULL day! 🌸

Today I attended Bloom Fest in Centreville, and it was such a beautiful and uplifting experience. 💕 It was a day filled with creativity, wellness, connection, and just taking time to enjoy the moment.

We journaled 📓, created our own tea blends 🫖🌿, made a salt scrub and bath soak 🛁, enjoyed some delicious food, took advantage of all the cute photo opportunities 📸, and even had some fun at the sneaker charm bar! 👟✨

And the day didn’t stop there! Afterwards, I headed over to Shipgarten in Tysons Corner to celebrate Clinton Portis’ birthday. 🏈🎉

From wellness and creativity to good food, football, and celebration, today was definitely a FULL day—and my heart is full too.

I’m thankful. I’m blessed. And I’m grateful that I’m able to get out, experience life, make memories, and enjoy these moments. 🙏🏾💗

Yesterday, September 11th, was a day of remembrance, reflection, gratitude—and a little Commanders meet and greet. 🇺🇸🏈❤️💛

Before anything else, I honor our first responders and remember all those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. We will never forget the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the courage of those who ran toward danger to help others.

9/11 will always be personal for me. My friend and coworker Nancy and I were supposed to be at the Pentagon for a meeting that morning. We were running late, and because of that, we were not there when everything happened. Twenty-five years later, I still carry tremendous gratitude for that twist of fate and never take the significance of that day for granted. 🙏🏾🇺🇸

Later in the day, I ventured out to Waldorf Toyota for a meet-and-greet with Washington football legends Fred Smoot and Santana Moss. It was great seeing them, taking pictures, enjoying the Owed to Eddies food truck, giveaways, and all the excitement surrounding Commanders football.

The day also brought another meaningful connection to 9/11. I had the pleasure of meeting George Brooks, a retired firefighter and the artist behind the beautiful artwork I’m standing in front of in my photo. George is the artist behind Intervisions Art — “Giving the Gift of Art” — and also provides custom framing. 🎨🖼️🚒

Meeting a retired first responder on a day when we honor the courage and sacrifice of first responders made that moment especially meaningful.

I also got to meet Ashley Thompson of the D.C. Divas! I may have to venture out to Virginia to see them play. 🏈💪🏾

And, of course, I got BOTH of my hats signed! ✍🏾🏈

Yesterday held a little bit of everything—remembrance, gratitude, meaningful connections, art, and Washington football.

We remember those we lost. We honor our first responders. We remain grateful for every day we are given.

And now… I’m ready for some COMMANDERS FOOTBALL! ❤️💛🏈

🎣 Back Out Fishing & Making Memories! 🎣

Spending the weekend at Hains Point brought back memories of my first job with the D.C. Government Park Service during the Marion Barry days.

I enjoyed fishing with Haz-Life, Ernie, Alof, and the crew. They donated and cooked the food, making sure everyone was fed. I even put my pole down to help serve. ❤️

As for fishing? I caught NOTHING! 😂 The fish enjoyed my turkey bait, though! 🎣

Thankfully, I didn’t go home empty-handed—I won a PISCIFUN reel in the raffle! 🎉 My Uncle Frank is already ready to “give it a try.” 😂

It was a beautiful day filled with good people, good food, laughter, and memories. I’m glad to be back outside doing something I enjoy!

Next up: fishing with the Lotus 50 Plus Ladies in the DMV! 🎣👑

The fish better get ready—I’m coming back! 😂
