✨Just taking a moment to appreciate what I get to do every day.
It’s not always easy; it’s hard on my body, hard on my heart, quite the puzzle at times, but it’s pretty damn special to be able to get to know these critters. Get to grow these critters — especially to grow them happy, healthy, and for the purpose of going back to the reef.
I’ve said before and I’ll say it again, what an honor to be able to live in a time that these exist. by @sea_mac_swim

⛈️Storms🌩️
The rushing thoughts, the flooding of emotion, the crashing of walls that I built to keep me safe.
The force of nature that once felt like I could do anything, now feels like is working against me.
With whirling spirals and rabbit holes of negativity, the weight of the world - my world - seems to have slipped from my grasp.
Can I keep my footing and trudge on?
Can I fight longer until the winds die down?
Is there a light at the end of the tunnel?
My voice that once connected me to those closest, now feels like a cloud cast over the lights I do not want to shade.
A seesaw in front of me dips me towards a bottomless trench then teases me with the warmth of the love I wish for. A blanket that once has comforted my soul now sopping with hurt and malfeasance I hope not to damper onto neighboring life.
The storm rages on. Even in the calm of the eye. One more moment, I can see again.
One more moment, I can take a step.
One more moment towards a demolition that will clean the slate for a grandiose new growth.
With destruction, comes an opening for an opportunity. Through the rubble, life still has promise.
Perhaps a sturdier foundation is in the works, the garden is watered, and the sky will soften with the space to reach with a new perspective.
That power that seems chaotic may make it hard to see the bigger picture. But the tide has a rhythm.
Let go and trust that you are where you need to be.
Take a breath then, ride the wave.
You will come up for air again.

✨Resilience✨
The brink of collapse can mean two things:
An extinction or a proof of strength never seen.
The fight is long and tiring.
The triumph can feel unobtainable.
When did this war begin?
How long have I been clawing at a peace that I thought was in the palm of my hand?
How long have the pieces been broken when I thought I was whole?
How far down this hole have I fallen?
Can I refill my cup or have I run dry with hope that I convinced others of holding?
Perhaps the fact that I’m asking these questions means I still have the hope for myself.
Maybe if I say it out loud, I will be able to demonstrate the strength.
Maybe admitting the fight exists will give the boost to win.
Will the obstructions win or will we push on for a better tomorrow?
Hang on a little longer. Climb forth a bit higher. Withstand just a tiny amount more.
Prevail. Endure. Preserve.
A better future is possible with you in it.

A metamorphosis

To be reborn , the soul must deconstruct
A death within can nourish the new being emerging
The chrysalis - while constricting - will protect the new creature you are about to meet
While darkness and uncertainty can be weighing, disappointing, draining,
The journey to the unknown will always turn up towards the light
The pain will reframe you for the juxtaposition of pleasure to unfold
The exhaustion, the restless paralysis, will open up the true power you hold
Lean in, hunker down, brace yourself
The fiery wings are about to ignite flight
