So thankful to have gotten the opportunity to fellowship and learn with chefs, farmers, commercial fishermen and good, kind folks from all across our state this past weekend! Can't give enough thanks to @tidewatergrainco for graciously hosting us and making us all family for a weekend. What a first class operation and even kinder people to show us first hand some of your story so far. If you are even the slightest bit curious about rice grown in NC or waterfowl or anything just wholesome and coastal, look into this amazing group in Oriental, NC. We can't wait to make them a part of our menu. Special thanks to all the sponsors like @gottobenc for bringing us together and nourishing us with good NC food, great NC drinks brought together by so many great creators it's hard to even get started. The friends we met we will never forget! Making sustainable seafood choices requires going against preconceived notions of "fishy" fish and all that hogwash. Fresh fish is a beautiful thing and Americans in general should be eating what is abundant and fresh, not forcing ourselves to import fish from halfway around the world. Spring has sprung! THANKS to @onealsseaharvest we've got fresh soft crabs, grouper, black drum and blue catfish on deck.
