Squamish summer camp with my favorite human and animal can’t really be captured by words, here are some photos by @audrey.l.miller that provide a glimpse into the amazing couple of weeks we spent up North. My heart and soul want more,,what a wonderful feeling ,, I had the pleasure of experiencing breakthroughs in antistyles, as well as coming to terms with processes that take longer than my ego could initially grasp. 🧠
Also we made a video of the trip,, the link is in my profile. Enjoy :) by @seando12thousand

Climbing doesn’t always need to be the thing you stop doing until you’re better.

With the right modifications, climbing can be part of the process.

You can change the hold type, angle, intensity, volume, or movement demands and use climbing itself to rebuild tolerance and confidence. That often gives us better information than trying to define readiness with a sterile measurement that strips away the complexity of the actual sport.

The goal isn’t necessarily to remove climbing. It’s to figure out what version of climbing makes sense right now, and then keep building from there.

A huge thank you to @seando12thousand for trusting the process and letting me share a little piece of it. I’m really proud of the work you put in and even happier to see that shoulder back doing what you want it to do. 🙌🏼💪🏼

2025 was a wild ride,, some serious ups and some colossal downs,, I wouldn’t have it any other way, so much learning and growth through the rollercoaster. Here are some highlights and some moments that weren’t so ideal. So excited for more in 2026 with my favorite human and our newest addition, Opal ❤️ taken in Buccees by @seando12thousand

“gloam” FA

My journey on this boulder started last spring on a late season day out. @jwoojwoo had mentioned a line boosting left off of the start of the problem “Classic”. We went there at the end of the day and explored some moves, but it didn’t feel so feasible for me at the time.

Fast forward 2 months and my shit is blown out from a bike crash, my world flipped upside down and I thought I would never be able to climb at a level I once was able to.

Upon return to climbing I became more and more positive about my progression through constant support and encouragement from @audrey.l.miller and others❤️

This season I decided to put all I could into doing this boulder problem, it seemed within reach but would always elude me, regardless of how good I felt. Towards the end of the season I decided to throw in the towel and hope that next season would feel better with some training specifically for this one.

After a couple of weeks of damp canyon weather, there was a spell of low humidity and unseasonably good conditions, Audrey wrapped up her proj a couple days prior, filling me with a syke I hadn’t felt in a long time. December 14th rolls around and Audrey and I go to the canyon. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to try the project that day but figured we should go out and climb anyways. I felt okay warming up but wanted to go to another boulder I had been trying. I quickly dispatched my other project, building a wave of momentum. Audrey suggested going to the classic project and I was beyond stoked. We got there, I pulled on to the crux and it felt the easiest it’s ever felt. I gave a few goes from the bottom and made some execution errors.

2 tries later I pulled on and found myself grabbing the final 2 finger nugget crimp, I closed my eyes and boosted with everything I had to the summit.

I haven’t had an experience so emotionally taxing and rewarding in a very long time. I am so happy to have rekindled the obsession with boulders that ask me to become better and learn.

Thank you @audrey.l.miller for your tireless support and positivity❤️, getting to share at process that culminated in the most perfect moment of scaling and energy was truly a privilege. by @seando12thousand

Squamish terrors day!! We started with a razor blade scaling experience that @audrey.l.miller and @morgan_climbs walked up for a “chill” warmup. Finn and I went big epic mode on it but found the summit eventually and took the momentum to the very end. To add to the spice we brought the sneaky weasel ales along for some good case race fun. This day filled my heart beyond capacity, to have the privilege to scale is truly special. Luckily the sneaky weasels didn’t cause another sneaky collarbone mishap ⚰️

squammmmm ❤️

I couldn’t have asked for a more pleasant reconnection with stone than the moss bed of squam, it was truly a treat to get to share a place so dear to my soul with @audrey.l.miller and bebe Opal. A nice cherry on top was getting to unwind a nemesis rig spiral that had me in a chokehold on the last trip here.

Thank you Squamish and thank you to all of the lovely humans we were lucky enough to connect with ,,

happenings of may ,, May 2nd broke my collarbone ( last pic is moments before I became a left handed human ) ,, May 24th made a sandwich with two arms ( barely ),, may 25th @audrey.l.miller and I got the best gorl we could’ve ever imagined “Opal”. What a whole lot of learning and growth this month, learning to care for and love my body through the endless support from @audrey.l.miller , my family , and the amazing community of friends here in SLC. Looking forward to taking these lessons with me and bringing our new addition scaling when all is healed. ❤️ taken in Salt Lake City, Utah by @seando12thousand

Pine needles n baddies fa ,, a true little cottonwood moment,, the day that I discovered the sequence, @audrey.l.miller and I were warming and there was a funk topout with no holds and a whole lot of pine needles, this moment during the beautiful fall season inspired the name and brought new life to my canyon times grimpeur ( @jwoojwoo ) provided more syke than I could ever imagine and kept the fire burning ,, I felt lost in my direction with lcc climbing, feeling uninspired by the “hardest” in the canyon , but rather wanting something to captivate my attention,, this one came to be through funky positions and fickle crystal navigation, accompanied by a condor ( condeez) dependent location and tall stature, I wanted nothing but to have a full value moment with it ,, thank you to all who supported and spotted throughout the process on this one, it brought me more life and joy than I could ever express ,,(,, @toinon_be @eggs.benedikt @jwoojwoo @audrey.l.miller ,,)

in a former time, my self worth was solely rooted in my own climbing and tangible success,, success came in the form of doing climbs that seemed to be challenging or had a large v-point value attached to them,, success came in the form of having a body that was the skinniest and most “shredded” it could be,, success came in working long hours and striving to complete school,, in the past year I have learned that there is more to life than what people perceive of me,, learning to love myself has opened my eyes to giving, learning, and growing. I haven’t been climbing the difficulty that I once have,, I haven’t looked how I have previously looked,, I haven’t been in the same mental space that I have previously been through,, with all of this comes immense struggle,, but on the flip side, I have become ME, I can love, I can give, and most importantly, I CAN LIVE. by @seando12thousand
