I debuted “You’re Still The One” the other night at @citywinerychi, I’m loving this new version. The studio track will re-release in a few weeks. Acoustic version to follow. 🤍

Next up, @heynonnyah tomorrow night 4/25 with @aimontmoon! Still a few tickets left, link in bio!

In the Fall of ‘21 I brought a chorus I had just written to my friend @samsznd. Thankfully, it resonated with her and we were off to the races. We left the session feeling pretty good about what we had but nothing could prepare either of us for what would follow.

Sadly, about week later Sam’s father fell ill and passed away. About 6 months after her loss, my dad suddenly passed away on Easter Sunday. This song quickly felt like a strange foreshadowing for us both. It was a devastating time and it started a season of loss and upheaval in my life that I could never anticipate. A stripping away of basically everything I’d ever known.

“You’ve gotta find peace in your soul, before your body says “time to go”, sweet relief, let ‘em know, all the weight was never yours to hold, it’ll all be fine, the sooner that you realize, that heaven, is a state of mind…”

This one’s for the dads.

RIP Steve and Mark 🤍

The “Our Year” video turned 2 this week. 🖤

Something about this song has always felt a little like baseball season to me. With the playoffs around the corner, it felt like an appropriate time to bring this one back around. ⚾️

Still really proud of this song and video.

We take movies pretty seriously around here. 🎥

This year’s movie on the lawn celebrated the very best of 1982.

We rolled ‘80s coming attractions and screened Michael Jackson’s Thriller before the feature presentation.

Steven Spielberg’s E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982).

Though difficult to secure (literally), E.T. made themself available for the occasion.

To celebrate 10 years of “Indiana”, I’ve made it free for download. Remastered and recovered. The artwork features a photo I took of the famous and now defunct cowboy & horse statue in South Bend. Download it now before it mysteriously disappears, just like this iconic statue. 🐴

It’s hard to believe it’s been 7 years since we shot the bulk of Whitney’s Mettle on a scorcher of a weekend in late June. Staying true to the era, we drank switchel to stay hydrated (Google it, it works wonders).

A fantastic shoot and directorial debut from @civilwill!

You can watch it on @streamhistoryfix 🎥

If they’re clapping along to unreleased songs, that’s usually a pretty good sign. Such a great crowd, they surprised me with that one. This song has really grown up the past year playing it live and remains one of my favorites, I think it’s time to record it.
