No one tells you how hard it is to come down from the wedding high & transition back to civilian life. 😆

We are overwhelmed with gratitude for every helping hand that made this possible. In true fashion, we conceptualized running away to Vegas for years but the actual trigger pull on a date & subsequent planning happened in less than 2 months. Because…ya know “eloping will be easy”, 😱.

Thank you to our family and friends, not just for the past 2 weeks but the last 15 years that you’ve known us as a couple. Thank you again to our incredible vendors, we lucked out and found some of the most amazing people to work with. Even perfect strangers we met along the way that made us feel so loved and celebrated.

The biggest credit going to my bride, @jules_skyler. You worked tirelessly to make every detail come to life. Collaborating with you on this was the most important and fulfilling experience I’ve ever had. Let’s make more things together! 🖤💒

It was the year 2000, we all “survived” Y2K, and the summer of sophomore year was upon us. For me, that meant living at The New World Music Theater.

Unfortunately, the photo did not turn out so hot. Disposable cameras don’t hold up well after a long day at Warped Tour.

My buddy and I were determined to get back stage that day. At this point I knew the amphitheater like the back of my hand. We decided to leave the venue and traverse our way up the back side of the lawn to hop the fence. They didn’t use the main stage for Warped Tour so I figured this was their most vulnerable section. It was far more difficult than we anticipated but we made it in!

As we leisurely strolled down the lawn, I remember saying “just act like you belong here” lol. We walked across the main stage to get to where the buses were parked and just as we were about to hit the promised land we heard “Hey!”. Venue staff had found us (shit), we turned around guilty as hell, they continued, “…catering is this way, they just set up.” Stunned we weren’t getting tossed, we thanked them and walked toward catering. We felt like assholes and didn’t want to take any food so we kind of just faked it till it was safe to bail.

We got to the buses and didn’t really see any bands at first. Then, lo and behold we stumble upon @mikedirnt grilling in front of the @greenday bus. “Hey dudes, you want some burgers?” “Umm ok Mike Dirnt”. And just like that we’re hanging out with Green Day and our young minds are completely blown. @trecool comes off the bus “Hey, Dudes!”, then Billie. It was surreal, I had loved this band since I was 10 and now we’re all hanging out in a parking lot in Tinley Park, IL. They were so kind to us, fed us, and hung out for what felt like at least an hour. They say don’t meet your heroes but they were definitely an exception to that rule. Yet another magical rock moment that would shape my life.

I missed posting yesterday so here’s a #flashbackfriday.

With @limpbizkit back in our hearts and minds after their @lollapalooza performance last week, I had to share my favorite LB moment from back in ‘98 at the Family Values Tour.

We waited outside after the show in hopes of meeting one of the bands. We were t-shirt clad and freezing on an unusually cold Oct. night. There’s nothing like a blast of cold Chicago air smacking you in the face as you pour out of a steamy arena. Just as we were about ready to give up, @freddurst came walking out and couldn’t have been cooler to us. He chatted with us for a while, signed our tickets, and created a “Three Dollar Bill Y’all”!!! He even gave me this dope sharpie tat that made waves at school in the morning.

I was 14, out past curfew on a school night, defacing petro dollars and getting “tattooed” by one of my heroes. It was a good night. ✨
