🍁🌰🍄‍🟫 Blessed Mabon | Autumn Equinox 🗝️🍁🕯️

A day I hold with reverence, especially after carrying the story of Demeter (Dímitra) and Persephone (Persephónē) through my pilgrimage in Greece.

The depth of light and dark, shadow and divinity, sorrow and pleasure feels more alive to me now.

Most of these photos are from our day at Eleusis, where the Eleusinian Mysteries were practiced for centuries in devotion to Demeter and Persephone. To stand on those grounds and feel the weight of a story carried for thousands of years was immense.

The Ploutonion cave, sometimes referred to as Hekate’s Cave, was associated with the entrance to the Underworld and the story of Persephone’s descent and return.

Standing at that threshold was a powerful experience.

We sang, placed offerings, and sat with our own experiences of what we are willing to let fall away.

Demeter’s mourning and Persephone’s descent have become such a powerful lens for me as we move into this season.

A time where energy is no longer scattered outward, but begins to turn inward.

A time to harvest what has ripened, let what is complete fall away, and meet the dark edges of ourselves with more intention.

And trust that this too can become the ground for rich new life.

Last night we carried this with us on a sunset ceremony hike in Boulder, with a small intentional altar (2nd photo) and a descent in the darkness.

Just as Persephone would have it.

It felt like a continuation of what began in Greece.

A reminder that these stories do not only live in ancient places. They meet us in our own lives, in our own seasons, in our own descents and returns.

I will speak more about Eleusis another time. There is far too much there for one caption.

But today, at this threshold of nearly equal light and darkness, we are reminded that both have their place in our growth. ☯️

What are you willing to let die, decay, and compost into new rich life?

Are you brave enough to sit with your shadow long enough to befriend it, like Persephone, and come out the other side carrying a new power? 👑❤️

Something about this Eclipse in Pisces has me thinking about Aphrodite (Ἀφροδίτη).

We remember her as the Goddess of love and beauty, born from the sea. But Aphrodite was never delicate. She is fierce, complicated, sometimes ruthless. There is an edge to her that gets lost when we reduce her to beauty.

I think that's part of her draw when you really learn about her.

This was a moment of blissful integration and surrender at @euphoriaretreat, Where I had just experienced days of deep emotional alchemy.

I met my shadows and released them. Composted them to fertile soil. It was messy. It felt ruthless. Yet, it was beautiful.

Which is what I believe Eclipse energy can be used for. So often we are told to fear or avoid Eclipses. But I believe they're a wonderful opportunity to work with the chao, not against it.

The unpredictable surge of energy that sometimes can rattle things just enough to change your perception of something.

Something shifted for me in Greece in a big way.

I saw how much of my own power I had been giving away, and how often I was the one holding myself back.

What was able to come through with a clear channel allowed me to connectwith old part of myself. More able to trust what moved through me, and follow the guidance of nature.

I felt like myself, but more of her.

And maybe that’s what Aphrodite is reminding me of now.

Not softness for the sake of being palatable. Not beauty without power.

The eclipse feels fitting. I’ve never believed chaos is inherently something to fear. Sometimes something has to disrupt the light we’re used to seeing by before we can see ourselves differently.

Maybe the shadow isn’t always asking us to hide.

Sometimes it shows us what’s been there all along.

Pressures, conditioning, and noise from today holds little weight when remembering you can connect straight to the source of wisdom and receive your teachings.

So much to come on my experience at Eleusis 🤍🧿

We love you so much Cooper ❤️‍🩹 Pet grief is so weird. It’s been 3 years without my soul dog and his absence on Earth still hits so hard. He became a guardian angel when I needed it most, and now I just wish he was here to share in the bliss. But Tigger is making his brother proud every day and we’ve connected in a way I never could’ve imagined. #petgrief #souldog #guardianangel by @seashelbee

Part II: Priestess Pilgrimage | Ancient Messini

I laid on the temple and let the land hold me.

This is the Asklepieion of Ancient Messene, one of Greece’s most extraordinary healing sanctuaries in the southwestern Peloponnese. For centuries, pilgrims made their way here seeking what we all quietly seek. To be made whole. They would purify themselves, sleep on sacred ground, dream, and receive.

Mind. Body. Soul. All of it together, never separated.

Something in me knew to be still here. I didn’t plan it. I just felt the pull of the stones beneath me and I listened. There is a particular kind of knowing that lives in the body rather than the mind, and this land speaks directly to it.

I came as a nutrition therapist devoted to my service. And what I found here wasn’t a new belief. It was an ancient confirmation of one I have always carried.

But here, I found a new face for that knowing. Asclepius (Ασκληπιός). The god of healing honored at this very sanctuary. His symbol ⚕️, the staff entwined by a single serpent, remains the true emblem of medicine and healing to this day. That unbroken thread of care for the whole human being runs through every healing tradition that followed. And now he is a new inspiration woven into the vision of Mountain Nourished.

I think about those I serve. The ones already on their way, even if they don’t know it yet. The woman who is ready, truly ready, to be seen and supported in her wholeness rather than just her symptoms.

I asked this land for its blessing. Over my work. Over those I serve. Over every conversation, every nourishing meal, every moment of honest reckoning that unfolds in our time together. Because healing is never contained to one person. It ripples outward, into families, into relationships, into the way a woman moves through her day. The ripple effect of one person truly healing is immeasurable.

To every pilgrim who walked this ground before me, I honor you. Your longing for wholeness, your willingness to make the journey, your trust that healing was possible. It echoes still.

To this land, to Asclepius, thank you. For holding all of us who have come seeking. And for reminding me of what I have always known. by @seashelbee

What if you stopped playing so small and let yourself truly shine? ⚡️

It has been just over a week since I returned from my pilgrimage in Greece, from sacred ground where codes were downloaded, identities were reclaimed, and something ancient within me was finally, fully awakened.

And today, under the Scorpio Full Moon, on this sacred Beltane, this potent, truth-telling, transformational lunation, I step forward. No longer playing small. No longer dimming what I know myself to be.

Scorpio is my natal moon, the place in my chart where I was always meant to feel deeply, transform completely, and rise from the waters of my own becoming. This lunation is not just a portal. It is a homecoming and a perfect time to stand in what I know.

I am a Priestess 🤍

I am here to help you remember your divinity. To honor and nourish your body, your mind, your soul.

Standing at the Acropolis, I looked up at the Caryatids, those six women, carved in stone, holding the weight of the world above their heads with such power, such grace, such grief, and I understood. This is what it looks like to hold it all and still stand.

Athena (Αθηνά) taught me wisdom. Not the kind found in books, but the kind forged in stillness, in discernment, in knowing when to act and when to wait. She is the goddess who does not rush, who sees the whole battlefield before making a single move. She reminded me that clarity is power, and that a woman who knows her own mind is a force nothing can touch.

This is just the beginning. ✨🌕🏛️🧿
