Tucked between Maleny and Kenilworth, on the banks of the Little Yabba Creek, this gorgeous gem is the perfect FREE spot to recharge the batteries… for 24 hours.

Set right on the creek, it’s a gorgeous spot to slow down, take a dip, fire up the BBQ and switch off for a while 💆‍♀️

💡 Our tip: try and arrive around lunch as it can fill up quickly, especially in summer!

A bit of campground info:

🏕️ All camp types welcome
🚗 2WD accessible
🏊‍♀️ Swim in the Little Yabba Creek
🔋Off grid only
🚻 Toilets available
🍳 BBQs and picnic tables
📱 Unreliable/no phone service

📍 Darlington Park and Burgess Park camping ground, Qld

A little over an hour from the Gold Coast and around 1.5 hours from Brisbane, this little gem on the banks of the Albert River was the perfect spot for our first adventure in Vinnie Vanngo! 🚌💨

The river here is right near where it starts, so it’s crystal clear and beautiful… not the usual brown snake we’re used to 🤣💦 The perfect spot for a swim, when it’s a little warmer 🥶

There’s heaps of space to spread out, plenty of room for the pets 🐶, and you can pick your own spot, light a fire in the provided fire pits and just sit back and relax. We loved watching the birds and the horses across the river and just taking in the tranquil setting 💆‍♀️🐴🔥

The camp hosts were absolutely lovely too ✨

It was the perfect place to put Vinnie through his paces and try out all the things we’ve never had before: diesel heater, Starlink, inverter, toilet and shower… ✅

All in all, a pretty fabulous first trip away in our new home on wheels. And lucky for us, the rain stayed away because… “If it’s raining, we’re leaving!” 🤣🚌💨

Shakedown trip ✅🚌💨

We just got home from our very first adventure in Vinnie Vanngo after a few nights at Darlington Park 🌿🔥

After picking him up from @hinter_vans on Thursday, we spent the next few days in a mad rush packing everything we thought we’d need before taking off on Sunday for our first trip.

Our campsite had to tick a few boxes:
✅ Not too far from home
✅ Not a caravan park
✅ Campfires allowed
✅ And, most importantly… sunshine ☀️

Because our motto is:
If it’s raining… we’re leaving 💯😂

We’ll be sharing more about this beautiful place soon, so stay tuned! 👀🚌✨
